A redesigned heatsink
Many coolers have heat sinks that are press-fitted onto the heat pipes. Due to the thermal expansion differences between copper and aluminium, this junction can become brittle over time and thermal cycling, resulting in a drop in performance. In contrast, the NH-U12A's heat sinks are soldered to the heat pipes to ensure constant heat conduction even over the long term.
At 158mm high, the NH-U12A is low enough to easily fit into most of today's mid to high-end enclosures. With a total width of 125mm (including fan and clips), the fan is kept away from the PCIe slots on most ATX or micro-ATX motherboards, offering optimal compatibility with multi-GPU configurations.
