    Enorme

An impressive ventirad that combines performance and sobriety. It does an excellent job of cooling even extremely powerful processors such as the Ryzen 9 9950X, while operating in high ambient temperatures typical of the 30-32 degree West Indies. Thanks to its dual-fan cooling system and optimised heatpipes, it is able to keep CPU temperatures around 93-95°C at maximum load during bench tests, while remaining below the 95°C safety limit.
In light everyday use, such as web browsing or undemanding tasks, it keeps the processor at a very reasonable temperature of 49°C. During more intensive tasks such as gaming or video editing, the temperature hovers around 69-73°C, which is perfectly acceptable for such a powerful CPU.
However, a key point to consider is its imposing size (168 mm high). Although this provides a large heat dissipation surface and improves performance, it can be an obstacle in smaller cases or with little space for components. So it's crucial to check the dimensions of your case before installation. If your case can handle it, you'll benefit from quality cooling that keeps temperatures under control, even in extreme conditions.
The Dark Rock Pro 5 offers an effective and reliable cooling solution for its price, but it's important to bear in mind that it requires a case with enough space to install it. If space isn't an issue, it's an excellent option for maintaining optimal temperatures in maximum load situations, especially for power-hungry processors like the Ryzen 9 9950x.

Very good for a fan but a little disappointing

The price is very high for the performance it delivers, so I'd recommend watercooling instead.

250w tdp, not mine in any case.

It looks great but I don't think the performance is up to scratch. You can always try and send it back if you're disappointed. Personally, I've kept it for a PC that doesn't heat up very much.

    Highly effective

My processor doesn't heat up at all!
It's bulky, but that doesn't matter, given its efficiency.

    Excellent product

Very large ventirad, not to say immense. Solid, high-quality construction. Very easy to mount on an Intel, thanks to the backplate and large screwdriver supplied. A syringe of thermal paste is also supplied, but there's no little squeegee to spread it, which is the only negative point. Two very quiet fans and very good cooling. I have another, smaller one of the same brand, which has been running trouble-free for over 7 years. I hope this one will last just as long.

    Cools very well and silently

I use it on a ryzen 3900x for professional work that requires a lot of resources.
It's like night and day compared to the waith prism from amd, which let the processor rise to more than 85°, making a lot of noise. With this dark rock, I don't go above 65 in silence. (plus the be quiet silence box).
