A redesigned radiator
Many fans have dissipation fins that are press-fitted onto the heat pipes. Given the differences in thermal expansion between copper and aluminium, this junction can become brittle over time and thermal cycles, resulting in a drop in performance. In contrast, the NH-U12A's heat dissipation fins are soldered to the heat pipes, guaranteeing constant heat conduction even over the long term.
At just 158mm high, the NH-U12A is low enough to easily fit into most of today's mid-range/high-end cases. With a total width of 125mm (including fan and clips), the fan stays away from the PCIe slots on most ATX or micro-ATX motherboards, offering optimum compatibility with multi-GPU configurations.
