Finally a basic product that does.... what it should do!
Satisfied with this KVM. I compare it to the Aten CS692 (which I had to send back).
Connected to a desktop PC and a laptop dock (so still powered) for second monitor.
No problem for basic wired mouse and keyboard.
There are 3 "status modes" of the box: OFF, waiting for signal detection, connected.
When both PCs are switched off, the box is OFF (LED off), perfect. However, the USB ports are still powered.
When the PC starts (boot) or the few seconds after the screen is shut down when Windows 10 is turned off and/or when only one PC is turned on and the switch is forced on the PC that is turned off, the box is in "detection" mode (the LED flashes).
The detection of the signal and the power supply of the box are thus separated, and the box only turns off when the 2 signals are absent, without depending on the USB (note: you have to unplug the dock from the laptop (DELL) to cut the HDMI signal of the dock).
And of course the connected mode where you switch from one pc to another.
On a desktop PC, the switch is done in 1-2 seconds. On a second laptop screen, you see the keyboards connect quickly but the screen arrives after 10 sec (detection and redimmension by the CG).
This is a very basic and standard feature, but unfortunately I have not found it on cheaper HDMI KVMs.
Auto detect to power-on only when the box is powered up (it takes the first PC that turns on). I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use a different device than the one I'm using now.
I only give it 8/10 because I would have liked a graphics emulation function, which would allow the laptop to "continue to see the 2nd screen connected even when switched" and thus not resize the windows and switch them to the main screen. I was expecting this at this price, I'm a bit disappointed.
Otherwise, everything else is OK.
No flickering/disconnection when turning on/off one of the 2 PCs.
I recommend it!

No more plugging and unplugging
Great purchase, no more plugging and unplugging of PC peripherals when a visitor (my nephews in my case) wants to use the big screen, keyboard, mouse, audio and other USB peripherals (webcam) using various laptops (and often without USB C)
