    Really not up to scratch!

    Product marketed that should not have been.
    Out of 4 mice tested, only 1 works (all basic 3 button: HP, Microsoft x2, fujistu)
    The screen (the HDMI port at least) switches well from a PC to a laptop when both are switched on.... but as soon as one of them is switched off, it can't switch/connect -neither hot nor cold- (the keyboard and the mouse on the other hand, do), neither via the remote button, nor via the switch, nor via the hotkeys
    The screen of the laptop starts blinking, suggesting a detection/disconnection of the remote screen.

    A driver is trying to install itself without success on win7 and win10 in x64 via Windows update, nothing found on the editor's site.

    KVM updated with latest firmware, and all functions tried and disabled for testing ( power-on detection, mouse/keyboard emulation, etc etc).
    Tested by leaving all ports powered on and off each time.

    I leave one star for the remote button (which unfortunately is not found everywhere, but could be modular), and because I can't put 0.

    Good for occasional use

    In fact, the video goes through the USB. You need a specific "driver" (which is a problem for a Pro PC if you don't have administrator rights) that will compress the video. The one for Linux is "buggy": It causes cuts that make the display very unstable and made the PC heat up unnecessarily (which went to safety 2 or 3 times).
    I don't recommend it except for (very) occasional use under Windows (no test under Mac as far as I am concerned).
    PS: The patch given by the manufacturer has not been updated and can no longer be used.

    Micro cut on the video output

    In general :
    * installation is fairly easy
    * fairly compact
    * convenient to use

    Negative point :
    * Appearance of micro-cutting on the HDMI video output from time to time which is quite annoying.
