Overview

ASUS Prime X570-P : AM4 Motherboard with Exclusive Features

Ready for 3rd generation AMD Ryzen processors and compatible with 2nd generation AMD Ryzen processors, the ASUS PRIME X570-P motherboard is ideal for designing a gaming PC with the most advanced technologies. With support for DDR4 RAM up to 128GB, PCI-Express 4.0 graphics cards, M.2 PCIe 4.0 4x drives, the ASUS PRIME X570-P motherboard benefits from the best of the best with its AMD X570 chipset.

ASUS PRIME X570-P motherboard advantages:

The ASUS Prime Series motherboards are designed and thought for the general public, they integrate the best components and offer exclusive features that guarantee performance. Overclocking and high efficiency allow users to get the most out of their system.

  • AMD AM4 socket for AMD Ryzen 3rd and 2nd generationprocessors
  • 4 Dual-ChannelDDR4 4400 MHz (O.C.) memory slots (max. 64/28 GB depending on processor)
  • 6 x SATA 6Gb/s + 2 x M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 / SATA 6 Gb/sports
  • 2 x PCI-Express 4.0 16x ports with AMD CrossFireX 2-wayMulti-GPU support
  • 4 x USB 3.1
  • Fan Xpert 4cooling control
  • 8-channel HD audio Realtek S1200A
  • Realtek RTL8111H Gigabit LAN networking
  • Aura Sync compatible (2 LED connectors + 1 addressable LED connector)

Push the limits

With two 4x PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, the ASUS PRIME X570-P motherboard supports up to two NVMe SSDs to boost the performance of your gaming PC. With the ability to create a RAID configuration with two PCIe 4.0 storage devices, you get the fastest data transfer speeds on the 3rd generation AMD Ryzen platform.

Asus Aura Sync RGB Backlighting

The excellent performance of the PRIME X570-P is enhanced by the RGB backlighting on the motherboard and the presence of 3 RGB headers, one of which is addressable. The possibilities offered by the Asus software allow you to customise your gaming setup. The second generation addressable RGB connector (with backwards compatibility) allows the number of addressable LEDs on the device to be detected and individually customised.

Active chipset cooling

With the advent of 4th generation PCI-Express, which doubles the bandwidth compared to the previous generation, the chipset requires high performance active cooling to avoid throttling and allow sustained transfer speeds. The fan design allows for efficient dissipation thanks to a large heat exchange surface and high static pressure.

Information provided by our tech department Motherboards based on AMD Sries 500 chipsets (e.g. X570) are not compatible with AMD Ryzen 1000 series, AMD Athlon 200 series and AMD Athlon A series processors. If in doubt, please refer to the chipset compatibility statements on the processors sold on the site. PCI-Express 4.0 is only available with an AMD Ryzen 3000 series processor without Radeon Vega Graphics.

in line with the requirements of the

The card meets expectations and runs the rayzen 5 3600 perfectly, after some adjustment.
The greedy chipset which implies an active ventilation can be heard if you have an ultra silent configuration, but know remained discrete, its placement under the graphics card is not optimal, but does not seem to pose a problem of overheating has the use (in any case in a tower well ventilated otherwise).

I'm a fan of silence and I'm sometimes a little frustrated in game by the overheating of all the fans which is mainly on the CPU which for the ryzen 5 3600 heats up a lot with the standard power supply parameters but can be more reasonable after some adjustment (but still heats up a lot compared to my old configuration)

I'm not sure if this is a good idea, but I'm sure it's a good idea if it's not a good idea, and I'm sure it's a good idea if it's not a good idea.

Perhaps too expensive for its functions...

I may be a neophyte but I have trouble seeing the difference between mid-range and high-end motherboards, like B550 vs X570.

This motherboard was recommended to me in a TechRadar top, apparently it's well worth the features. Why not?

What I like about it is that it looks pretty good, its black background with silver stripes and its two heatsinks blend in well with my black and aluminium tower (SL600M).

Its advantages would be in its overclocking performance, this remains to be tested but in the meantime it doesn't heat up at all.

In fact, in order to install my big 360x60mm radiator on top of my tower, I had to remove the mouse/keyboard port! It's a bit tricky but it works, I didn't have any problem to unfold the metal sheets and separate the connectors.

There are plenty of USB ports, two M.2 ports and the integrated audio controller is nice.

I recommend it to anyone who is not afraid to spend more than 100/130€ on a motherboard and wants to overclock / use high frequency components (I have a Ryzen 3700X and 3600MHz ram).

Never seen such a poorly designed product!!! In from ASUS

From ASUS. and for a 200 euro card...............
Very poorly designed. The fan of the Chipset is blocked by the graphics card (even a small one of 20cm). It's a very good idea to use a card that takes a lot of heat from the graphics card, or to use a card that takes a lot of heat from the graphics card. Or you have to use a single slot card (in which case about a quarter of the chipset fan is blocked!

If you want to use two PCIE cards, forget about mSATA, the connectors will be blocked. With only one card, the master mSATA is hidden anyway!
Mounting bracket for pwr/reset/.... connectors not provided !

The DVD only contains a short description of the installation. No detailed Bios! (On the Asus website there is better, but some of the BIOS settings are still missing.

Bios: some of the navigation does not work with the mouse!

The Asus AI suite 3 software does not fulfill its role. Even when manually setting the CPU frequency to the nominal CPU power (no overclocking),

I bought dozens of motherboards, swearing by ASUS. I'm totally disappointed by this totally unsuitable product.
