The NH-U9TR4-SP3 is the heir to Noctua's famous NH-U9 series and is a high-end silent fan in 9cm format. Specifically designed for the new AMD TR4/SP3 platforms (Ryzen Threadripper / Epyc), it has a larger contact area for better cooling.

Special AMD Threadripper versionThe NH-U9 TR4-SP3 provides the new AMD TR4 platform with the cooling and acoustic performance for which the NH-U9 is renowned. With a perfect blend of efficiency, silence and compatibility, the NH-U9 TR4-SP3 is the ideal companion for high-end TR4 configurations. With a height of 125mm, the NH-U9 is short enough to fit into most of today's mid to high-end tower cases. For ATX and Micro-ATX motherboards, the 120mm width (including fans and mounting clips) allows the heatsink to stay away from the last PCIe slot, offering better compatibility with SLI and CrossFire configurations. |

Reliability, efficiency and silenceThe 92mm NF-A9 fan, which comes with the NH-U9, can benefit from automatic PWM speed control via the motherboard. In addition, and to further reduce noise emissions, the maximum speed can be capped at 1550rpm (instead of 2000rpm) by using the Low Noise Adapter (L.N.A.). For those wishing to further improve performance levels, the addition of a second fan will allow a push/pull configuration to be created. Noctua SecuFirm2 mounting systems have become the ultimate benchmark for quality, reliability and ease of installation. In order to guarantee excellent compatibility and optimum flow within the constraints of the case, the SecuFirm2 system for TR4 allows the ventirad to be installed in the traditional way or in a 90° pivot. Noctua's NT-H1 pad offers very low thermal resistance, reliability and ease of application. |

I've been using it for a while now and it's a great product. It's a great product and it's very good quality. If you have an amd TR processor and you can't stand the noise, buy it, it's magic. (Check the space in your case first)
