My old PC had a Firewire 400 output with an M-Audio ProjectMix I/O console connected to it.
I put together a new PC but no longer have a Firewire output.
This card works perfectly with my ProjectMix I/O under W10 Pro.
PS: you have to use an adapter to use the 800 on 400 or use the internal Fireware 400 output

I can finally retrieve the contents of my HDV tapes from my ageing camcorder onto a hard drive.
The connection is simple (PCI-e slot).
The price is very high, I think...
