This PCI Express card (PEXUSB314A2V2) designed by StarTech.com allows you to add 4 USB 3.1 ports to any PCI Express compatible computer system. This USB card requires a SATA power supply to operate and provides 900 mA of power per port to bus-powered USB 3.1 devices (500 mA for USB 2.0) via your computer's SATA power connector.
The USB 3.1 PCI-E adapter is USB 3.1 compliant for transfer speeds up to 10 Gb/s (up to 10 Gb/s per port), while being backwards compatible with existing USB 2.0/1.1 devices. For added versatility, the controller card is equipped with a standard height stand.
