Very interesting product because of the three possible operating modes (wifi/wifi - Ethernet/wifi - wifi/Ethernet).
As my box is in my hallway (which is off-centre) and I have two floors, I connected the TL-WA801N to a switch (Netgear GS105) in my living room (in Ethernet/wifi mode).
Very pleased. Installed in my workshop at the bottom of the garden as an access point, it's easy to set up and configure. It also comes with a passive Poe injector if you need one.
Like all TP-LINK products, this WIFI access point takes just 5 minutes to set up.

I bought this product as an access point to extend the wifi connection to areas of the house where the connection was poor (via an ethernet cable linked to the main box). It's perfectly adequate for normal domestic use (2-3 computers + 2-3 phones connected to it).
I bought this wifi signal amplifier to cover the whole of my home.
It can be configured via an English-language portal that can be accessed from a PC connected to the amplifier via Ethernet.
Once configured, it gave me a very satisfactory signal quality for my daily use.
It can also be used as a Wi-Fi access point if your router doesn't have this feature.
The different operating modes are very practical and offer great flexibility.

The product, very well packaged, was delivered in 2 days in a relay point. It corresponds to my expectations: simple product, easy to configure and not expensive.
The only drawback is that the paper documentation is very brief (Quick Installation Guide), limited to a sheet in English and a booklet in multiple languages except French. You have to go and get the complete documentation (in English) on the TP-Link website. The menus of the equipment are also in English. A difficulty for non-English speakers.
Bought to extend my WiFi: same SSID but different channel --> works perfectly :)
The range goes through my brick wall to cover my terrace right behind.
You can also do some advanced settings but I limited myself to the DHCP and signal strength part.
With a minimum of computer knowledge the product is easy to implement.

Very easily configured as an access point, I get better WIFI coverage than my LiveBox. I recommend it.
This is the third TP Link device of this type that I have ordered from LDLCplus recently. I use the first one in my country house to access a box that is more than 100 m away from the house. I have removed the antennas from the TP Link and instead connected an external directional antenna which is aimed at the building containing the box. This version has proved to be particularly practical because some utilities allow you to see all the Wi-Fi in the vicinity and to select the one you want by choosing the most suitable settings. It also allows you to see who has connected to the TP Link and who has connected directly to the box. More recentlyMore recently, I had a friend of mine buy the TP Link three-antenna model from LDLC and I was very surprised to find that the software was not at all the same as the one I knew. In this model, even when the TP Link is set as a repeater, it is displayed with a different name from the WIFI it is responsible for tracking. The quality of the signal was particularly impressive, and this time I was in a hurry to buy a repeater, because I needed it urgently. I would have liked to buy the three-antenna model, but it was no longer sold at LDLC. So I settled for the two-antenna model. It works perfectly, but the software is not at all the same as the one you use in your country house and there are practically no settings, which I personally regret.
I'm using this access point as a wifi repeater in a house where the partitions strongly disrupt the wifi signal strength. After testing a small Netgear that didn't do the job, I decided on this model that I already use at work. It has an excellent range and broadcasts well throughout the house.
