Gives you good WiFi where none exists
I was initially reluctant to have WiFi outside, but since I bought it my outdoor cameras have been working well and the connection is very stable. Don't put it outside in the rain, but under a shelter.
TP-LINK's RE450 is designed to extend the range of an existing Wi-Fi network to eliminate "grey areas". With next-generation 11ac Wi-Fi technology, a range extender button, compact size and one-piece design, it's never been easier to extend a network.
AC1750 Mbps Dual-Band WiFi Signal Repeater (n450 + AC1300) with Gigabit Ethernet Port .
TP-LINK's RE450 is designed to extend the range of an existing Wi-Fi network to eliminate "dead spots". Featuring next-generation 11ac Wi-Fi technology, a Range extender button, compact size and one-piece design, extending a Wi-Fi network has never been easier.
The RE450 arrives at the same time as the Wi-Fi standard, 802.11ac, which is 3 times faster than the n standard and delivers combined speeds of up to 1750Mbps. With this bandwidth, it's ideal for smooth HD video, music streaming and network gaming.
*In high-speed mode, the RE450 offers maximum performance by limiting itself to a single band (2.4GHz or 5GHz).
The RE450's single Gigabit Ethernet port enables the extender to function as a Wi-Fi adapter for connecting wired devices such as Blu-Ray players, games consoles, video recorders and connected TVs. At the same time, the extender can continue to share the Wi-Fi network.
Without additional cables, users can easily extend the wireless range of their existing wireless network by pressing the WPS button on their router followed by the Range Extender button. Pressing the Pair button again quickly establishes a secure connection with client devices.
An indicator light shows the signal strength received by the RE450, helping to find the ideal position for the Wi-Fi repeater. In this way, the RE450 can provide the best coverage and performance to the network.
The High speed mode combines the performance of the two bands 2.4 and 5 GHz to obtain the best speeds.

I was initially reluctant to have WiFi outside, but since I bought it my outdoor cameras have been working well and the connection is very stable. Don't put it outside in the rain, but under a shelter.
The TP-Link RE450 can be used in three ways:
- As a repeater, i.e. it amplifies the WiFi signal to carry it further into the house.
- As a WiFi access point, in which case it is connected to an RJ45 socket and emits a WiFi signal
- As a remote RJ45 internet socket, in which case it picks up the WiFi signal and transmits the internet signal to its RJ45 socket
For my part, I use it as a WiFi access point, which works very well.
It may take a bit of reading to set it up, but it's not rocket science either.
Once set up, it's fine.
But you have to know German and guess that you should not connect with TP-Link.
Used to cover a swimming pool 40m from the house and worked fine.
Very good product to recommend
No need to recalibrate devices as it uses the same network name as the original, which is not the case with all repeaters that recreate a new network on transmission.
Product meets my expectations.
Easy and quick installation.
The WIFI network is much more accessible.
I recommend it without hesitation.
