TP-LINK's RE305 is designed to extend the range of an existing Wi-Fi network to eliminate 'dead spots'. Featuring next-generation 11ac Wi-Fi technology, a range extender button, compact size and one-piece design, extending a Wi-Fi network has never been easier.
The 802.11ac RE305 is 3 times faster than the n standard and delivers combined speeds of up to 1200Mbps. This bandwidth makes it ideal for smooth HD video, music streaming and network gaming.
The single Fast Ethernet port allows the extender to function as a Wi-Fi adapter for connecting wired devices such as Blu-Ray players, games consoles, video recorders and connected TVs. At the same time, the extender can continue to share the Wi-Fi network.
Without additional cables, users can easily extend the wireless range of their existing wireless network by pressing the WPS button on their router followed by the Range Extender button. Pressing the Pair button again quickly establishes a secure connection with client devices.
An indicator light shows the signal strength received by the RE305, helping to find the ideal position for the Wi-Fi repeater. This way, it can provide the best coverage and performance for the network.
The High speed mode combines the performance of both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands to achieve the best speeds.

Good speeds, interface a bit slow but hey, you don't go every day, just at first to set up and then forget about it.
Works in access point mode, great, I have 5 GHz wifi everywhere in the house.
I had a network conflict when I first installed it... then left aside for a few days and started again => perfect ... I didn't understand what happened or what I had configured wrong :S
The device does not correspond to my expectations and presents problems in the use:- the device goes up 50 Mb in a house of 2 times 100m2 with slab beams and slab of compression (initial dbit 300Mb) - by using Netflix and AppleTV, we notice spikes of losses of dbit which disturb these applications making the follow-up of films impossible (the wifi remains thus very unstable) Our opinion, the device is perhaps not of levelCordially
