The QNAP TS-853DU-RP-4G is a 2U rackmount NAS server equipped with 4GB RAM, Intel Quad-Core CPU, 8 SATA 6Gbps drive bays, 2.5GbE network connectivity and 300W redundant power supply. Designed to meet the needs of businesses (VSE, SMB ...), the QNAP TS-853DU-RP-4G NAS server is versatile, flexible and scalable (PCI-E 2.0 2x expansion card slot, SSD Cache ...).
Upgrade to 2.5 GbE
The TS-853DU-RP-4G features two 2.5 GbE LAN ports that allow you to use existing CAT5e cables to upgrade network speeds from 1 GbE to 2.5 Gigabit. In addition, the two 2.5 GbE ports support port aggregation for up to 5 Gbps.
Quad-Core Processor
The TS-853DU-RP-4G supports SATA 6 Gbps drives and features a 2.0 GHz (2.7 GHz in turbo mode) Intel Celeron J4125 quad-core processor. It is equipped with 4 GB of DDR4 and there are two memory slots that allow for expansion to 8 GB. With Intel AES-NI encryption engine, the TS-853DU-RP-4G provides the unmatched encryption performance with AES-256-bit encryption acceleration, which boosts the system performance while ensuring the security of sensitive business data stored in the NAS.
Media Server and Video Transcoding
The TS-853DU-RP-4G can easily be placed in a media cabinet. By installing Plex Media Server from QTS App Center, you can stream media files stored on the TS-853DU-RP-4G to mobile and streaming media devices (including DLNA, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Google Chromecast). Also, the TS-853DU-RP-4G includes advanced Intel UHD Graphics 600 that supports hardware decoding and real-time transcoding, allowing you to convert videos into universal file formats that can be played back seamlessly on multiple devices.
Increase HBS backup efficiency with 2.5GbE connectivity
Hybrid Backup Sync (HBS) consolidates backup, restore, and synchronization functions (using RTRR, Rsync, FTP, CIFS/SMB) to easily transfer data in the TS-853DU-RP-4G to local, remote, and cloud storage (including Microsoft One Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and more) as a complete data storage and disaster recovery plan. Supporting QuDedup technology that eliminates duplicate data at the source, HBS reduces the size of backup data and speeds up future backup jobs. This is also useful for accelerating multi-version backups for greater protection against data loss.
SSD Cache and Automatic Prioritization
The TS-853DU-RP-4G supports SSD caching, which significantly improves the IOPS performance of storage volumes. It is perfect for improving the overall workflow of IOPS-intensive applications, including virtualization.
