The QNAP TS-h2490FU-7302P-256G 2U rackmount NAS offers 24 U.2 PCIe NVMe bays. It features an AMD Epyc 7302P processor (16 cores/32 threads) and is powered by the 128-bit ZFS-based QTS Hero operating system. It is also scalable with up to 4TB of DDR4 ECC memory and offers 5 PCIe 4.0 slots. The TS-h2490FU is ideal for latency-sensitive, read/write intensive applications with 25Gbps network connectivity and 100% flash storage. In addition, it eliminates productivity bottlenecks in modern data centres, virtualisation and business-critical backup/recovery tasks.

PCI-Express expansion card slot
The TS-h2490FU has 5 PCIe Gen34 slots (two of which are already occupied by a card with two 25 GbE ports) which allows the installation of various expansion cards to tailor the NAS usage according to the business needs. Whether it's adding expansion units with a SAS card, increasing bandwidth with a 40 GbE card or adding SSDs to increase cache and performance.
Built for virtualisation
The TS-h2490FU supports iSCSI LUNs as a high-performance, reliable, and affordable storage solution for VMware, Citrix, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Windows Server 2019 virtualization environments.
It also supports VMware VAAI and Microsof ODX to improve performance by offloading server load for ESXi server and Hyper-V, respectively. QNAP vSphere Client plug-in and Web plug-in are also supported to increase operations and management efficiency in virtualization applications.
Build an affordable SAN environment
Common Fibre Channel SAN devices are often expensive. By installing a QNAP two-port 16/32 Gbps Fibre Channel expansion card in the TS-h2490FU, you have more affordable options to add a NAS to a SAN environment. You can configure a Fibre Channel target using the iSCSI & Fibre Channel app. In addition, the LUN masking and port binding features provide an extra layer of security for your data.
