Forced to download a whole host of configuration elements from the Brother website.
In 'wired' mode, it often malfunctions at the start, requiring the scan settings to be reconfigured.
In wi-fi mode, I still haven't found a way of getting it to work...
Quite disappointed considering the price!
I bought this scanner and I have to say that I'm not disappointed, it's really practical to use, fast and always to hand given its small size. What's more, you can use it anywhere with its built-in battery. I can really recommend it with my eyes closed.
My old scanner, the Canoscan Lide 100, was no longer recognized by Windows 11. Before ordering a new one I sent a message to LDLC to explain my problem and ask for advice. I was very quickly given a reply and was advised to buy a Brother DS-940DW. I am very satisfied with this choice: On the Brother website I was able to get what I needed for Windos 11. And everything works. Of course I lost one advantage of the flatbed scanner, namely the possibility to scan a page of a book. But I gained in speed, in choice of B/W / colour and in choice of recto/verso... Bravo LDLC and thank you.
The portable format and autonomy of this scanner makes it a good companion on the move. The on-board data transfer modes make it easy to use.
