The scanner connects seamlessly to my Wi-Fi network, and the scanning speed is amazing...
it's almost perfect:
-fast
-transportable
-wifi
-scan to shared folder or ftp
-scan to usb
BUT :
-There are parts to change every 1000 and 10000 scans for maintenance.
-Maintenance parts are out of stock everywhere.
I hope I won't be too bothered the day I reach the number of scans requiring servicing.
I bought this scanner to scan my administrative documents (letters, invoices, files, etc.) and archive them.
I wanted something simple to use and Linux compatible. I am very satisfied with it!
The strong point of this scanner, apart from the "document feeder" aspect, is that it is autonomous: no need to connect it to the computer. It connects to the wifi and sends the scanned documents by email or deposits them on a network share, FTP server, etc.
And since the protocols are standard, you can even integrate the scanner with services like Nextcloud via a bit of code (see github).
The only slightly negative point is that sometimes the sheets go through the scanner a little crooked. This happens from time to time when the sheets are a little curled or when they are not all exactly the same size.
Compact and fast, at least via USB cable.
Well finished. The screen is not adjustable, this is the only point I would have changed (not user oriented enough).
Small, fast, can connect directly to the phone without going through the computer. Can directly send files to an FTP or other. Very practical!
a fast implementation, a complete management of the tool, with multiple possibilities.
A simple remark, after several weeks, it can present difficulties in the passage of the sheets if they are too fine.
The scans are fast, quality, silent! The duplexing is fabulous and changes my life, as I used to do everything by hand with the scanner of my flatbed printer... I've been doing everything by hand with the scanner of my flatbed printer... Saving time and productivity for the dematerialization of all my documents. In less than a year I would have largely paid for this purchase. Go for it with your eyes closed. In addition, the BROTHER phone application allows you to work without being connected to a computer... In short, if you are hesitating, it is because you do not need to scan... No, no, I don't work at BROTHER!
Easy to use.
Full of functions (scan to email, scan to folder...).
It's also wifi so you can take it out when you need it and don't have to bother with cables.
I only use it for PDFs so I don't know if the quality for images is good. For PDFs it's fine.
