The CS1716i is a 16-port KVM switch housed in a 1U enclosure for easy rack installation. This device allows system administrators to access connected servers both locally and over IP (LAN and/or WAN). The CS1716i is platform independent and supports Windows, Linux, MAC and SUN platforms.
Special KVM cables and Aten's Video DynaSync feature ensure that optimal video resolution is maintained. In addition, the KVM installation can easily be expanded. By using daisy-chain cables, the number of accessible servers can be increased to 256. On the console side, users can connect a VGA/LCD monitor and a USB or PS/2 keyboard and mouse for local operation. A dedicated USB port allows the connection of a USB device.
Feature-rich
The CS1716i features Panel Array Mode which allows up to 16 servers to be monitored per switch while the Mouse DynaSync feature automatically synchronises the pointer movements of the local and remote mice for perfect alignment regardless of what the mouse acceleration settings are on the server.
The CS1716i supports security protocols such as TLS 1.2 encryption for the browser and RC4 encryption for secure transmission of keyboard, mouse and video data. For easier and more efficient user management integration, the CS1716i also supports authentication and authorization via remote servers, such as RADIUS, LDAP, LDAPS and MS Active Directory.
