The Western Digital Ultrastar DC HC310 4Tb hard drive is especially dedicated to professionals for use in data centres. Indeed, this 3.5" hard drive for companies has many advantages for server use such as its RAFF anti-vibration technology, a load of 550TB/year and an MTBF of 2 million hours.

Available in 4TB, 6TB and 8TB capacities, the DC HC300 series can be used for enterprise servers, backup systems, cloud and enterprise NAS that require 512-byte (512n) sector size for high performance and compatibility.


Designed for data centres

The Ultrastar DC HC310 features multi-axis shock sensor technology that automatically detects and compensates for even the smallest shocks to protect the data stored on the Ultrastar DC HC310, and is equipped with RAID-specific features such as error recovery time that is reduced through the hard drive's error recovery processes. Ramp load/unload technology moves the recording heads away from the platters when the drive is not in use and when powering down, ensuring less wear and tear on the recording heads and media.

    Simply avoid

    Out of 4 disks received, one showed weaknesses in the first day of use. A second disk is announced as being out of order by the NAS that hosts it.
    It doesn't even have a week of up time.
    Simply shameful for disks that are supposed to be for servers.
