I read the reviews and I remember that if the temperature in the disc continuously exceeds 40 degrees, the mechanism expands and rubs on the platters, resulting in mass errors and various problems.
Tip: Don't put the drive in a closed external usb case (temperature rises to 48 degrees) because in an idle and ventilated environment the temperature doesn't drop below 30 degrees. Its smaller 1TB brothers are better off, with a maximum idle temperature of 24 degrees and an ambient temperature of 18 degrees.
