I was looking for a replacement for my old Toshiba HDD 3Tb @ 7200 RPM from 2015, in data storage, still quite functional though.
I tested the P300 6Tb @ 5400 RPM: very disappointed by its incredible slowness.
So I bought this X300 4Tb @ 7200 RPM and there's nothing to see: it's even a little faster than my old one.
One star less, however, for the regular clicking noises it makes, which I find a little worrying. Apart from that, I find it very quiet; I can't hear it scratching, even during intensive transfer.
The P300 made the same clicks, but not my old one which scratched noisier on the other hand.
The LDLC delivery is top notch, super fast.
