Sober, well-recognised case that supports a 4T hard drive. Does not heat up and is quiet.
The USB 3 enclosures for 3" disks are very good, the installation and replacement of the disks is done in the same way as on a server, rather practical, simple and robust.
The only complaint is that on 3 cases bought at the same time, the 3 power supplies make a hissing noise when the disk is powered.
The hard drives are very easy to set up.
The USB3 connection speed is excellent.
The aluminium case is solid.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to use this as a standalone unit, but I'm sure it's a good idea to use it as a standalone unit...
The charger, after 1 hour of use, broke, it buzzed in the socket and then nothing! so trash, fortunately I have plenty! concerning the rackable support for the hdd it is plastic of very poor quality and the fixing legs are very fragile so go slowly when you place your hdd and still for this part a metal rod that serves to maintain the hdd in stop broke by dint of opening and closing the case, for the rest it goes. I feel that it will not hold long otherwise it makes you a blue light very flash style you saw I am beautiful but ugly inside ... I'm not sure how to use it.
It's not expensive, but it's good enough to help you out.
The case is made of metal and looks very solid.
The drawer (made of plastic) allows you to slide the disc in without tools; very practical.
The foot is really tight which causes the case to sit well.
Recommended.
PS: Thank you LDLC for the service and the ball.
I bought this box because I had a free 4 TB drive that I wanted to use for backup. Most products only support 3 TB disks. I've been using it for a while now and it's been working fine, stored next to the NAS on the CPU, I've had no problems mounting the drive or using it. When plugged in, it emits a blue light at the back, which flashes during input/output. The stand is stable. It looks very solid so I would recommend it.
