I wouldn't say that it's this model that has a problem because I don't know, but mine broke down about a month ago. So after 3 years of use in an external USB box (also bought on LDLC).
It started to make little noises from time to time and then more and more often until it could no longer supply data.
So I wouldn't recommend it.
The parcel arrived at the parcel delivery point in perfect condition, very well packaged.
The hard disk in box version is also well protected.
Installed in an ICYBOX IB-287-C31 external enclosure, the drive is well recognised.
Partitioned and formatted in NTFS, the file transfers are correct for use in external backup.
Very satisfied with my purchase.
I bought this to complete the storage of my NAS under OMV ...Recognized immediately by the system. After configuration, the transfer rate was more than sufficient for the intended use.
Product received 5 days after order (including Sunday), with a slight tear in the carton of the parcel. product packaging itself slightly damaged, but well protected and the product itself is intact when fully unpacked. the hard drive works after a complete mandatory formatting and a thorough thorough analysis. as described, toshiba L200 2 terabytes 128 mega cache and 5400 rpm. See over the two year warranty if the product is still top notch. I bought this product in order to create secondary backups in an external hard drive enclosure. Apart from the good functioning of the hard drive, I only give it 9 stars because of the small defect in the condition of the product packaging.
After 2 months of use, still works perfectly. And 1 more on Linux... I also use it to make backups.
The Toshiba L200 2Tb works very well and I'm happy with it (second internal hard drive in a laptop with ubuntu 20.04). I do find it a bit noisy when it starts writing, but it doesn't last long and it's not really a problem.
Fast delivery, easy to install, a little formatting and... It's time to use this great storage quickly and easily.
Please note: the connection cable is not supplied with the drive but with your PC...

It's a hard drive, attractive price for the capacity, perfect for storage on my laptop dedicated to multimedia/TV
Hdparm indicates a read speed of 133mo/s
A write test done with "dd" gives a nearly similar write speed.
one can write a 1GB file at 133MB/s on average
For my part, it's perfect.
The price is appropriate for this level of performance.
