Disk for NAS
Impeccable, the NAS loved it.
Great delivery.
It's a great product, and I'm very happy with it.
I'm going to have to give it a go.
Designed for NASThrough discussions with NAS manufacturers, Toshiba recognised the need for high reliability drives that address today's data storage and retrieval requirements, including streaming, backup and archiving. The drive, which can support multiple multi-RAID systems with up to 8 hard drives, enables reliable storage and use of large volumes of data by multiple clients 24/7. |
Integrated VR sensorsConventional hard drives without RV sensors can degrade the performance of a multi-bay NAS system by generating harmful vibration. N300 drives ensure high reliability by reducing vibration through monitoring and sensor technology. Numerous sensors detect even the slightest shock, and the built-in RV sensors compensate for rotational vibration, thus limiting the risk of harmful vibration in the multi-bay NAS system configuration. |
Reliable continuous operationNAS systems in small business or creative environments must be accessible by multiple users from different locations simultaneously. Therefore, today's NAS drives guarantee high data transfer rates and simultaneous upload and download 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. By offering high reliability and scalability, the N300 guarantees a workload factor of up to 180 TB/year, which is up to 3 times more than conventional desktop hard drives. |
High durability and heat protectionThe use of highly robust components is one of the reasons why the N300 series provides a higher durability than conventional hard drives. In addition, theautomatic adjustment of the seekspeed to reduce heat during any operation involving high temperatures further enhances the robustness of the unit in demanding situations. |
High speed for a multi-drive environmentYou can enjoy high performance and accelerated read speed when accessing data communicated by many users, thanks to a 128 MB data buffer. This makes the drive suitable for small businesses and content management professionals who are looking for solutions for handling high volumes of data through multi-RAID NAS environments.

Impeccable, the NAS loved it.
Great delivery.
It's a great product, and I'm very happy with it.
I'm going to have to give it a go.
It lacks half a star because there's still half a step to go before it's Nirvana!
Otherwise, it's fast, fair and perfect. Even though we are 10.000 kms away !
Really Bravo !
Ordered as a pair with 2 WD Golds and 2 860 Evo 500GB to fill a DS1618+ (6 bays), the 2 toshibas arrived out of order (129 bad sectors on the first one, said "healthy" by the NAS, and 6414 for the second one)
I'm not sure what to make of it, I thought it was a lack of care on the part of the deliveryman (package not presented and delivered in a relay the next day despite delivery before 10am requested) but the 2 western digial were intact and in the same package.
I asked for my right of withdrawal and LDLC reimbursed me the shipping costs to compensate for the total lack of professionalism of the Chronopost subcontractor
The disks may be good when they are functional, but for the reconstruction of a RAID6, I preferred to play it safe
Bought 4 disks for my Nas Netgear, no problems with the order, or the delay to the meeting.
On receipt, taxes were low (66€ for the 4 disks).
Installation was trouble free.
The disks are quite noisy when they read or write data. This can be annoying if the NAS is in the living room for example.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get the product, but I'm sure I'll be able to get the product, and I'm sure I'll be able to get the product.
The hdd's are fragile, too bad, LDLC could have put some bubble wrap.
I've been using it for a while now, but it's not too bad, it's not too bad, it's not too bad.
I recommend
I have installed 4 of these in a synology NAS for personal use and I am quite disappointed by the noise they make when running.
I chose these drives for their robustness, I hope I won't be disappointed because otherwise I don't think it's a relevant purchase for a private individual.
Compatible with synology products, including the 718+, but for a product specialized for NAS, it is not normal that it is so noisy.
In terms of performance, no worries.
It doesn't get too hot
Excellent on the performance achieved in a Synology DS214+.
One downside is the noise when accessing and vibrating when running.
Happy.
Works perfectly in a Synology NAS.
The speed is good (probably also limited by the other drives).
The drive heats up a bit more than the other 3 drives in the NAS (of different brands).
The noise during accesses is high, to the point of becoming annoying in the room (5 or 6 meters from the NAS).
I'm thinking of replacing it with a less noisy one soon and keeping it for external backups.
Installed in a synology 218 + NAS with a HGST, nothing to report, good performance. I can't hear it (but the NAS is in the basement :) )
+100Mb/s on the transfer of large files
I'm not sure if it's a good product or not, but it's a good product.
