Used with a Western Digital SSD WD Blue SA510 2Tb - M.2. Plugging it in is child's play and the enclosure doesn't take up any space. However, it's smaller than an HDD and can't be screwed in from the side like some enclosures. Personally, I put it in the frame as is, without any fasteners.
Fast delivery as usual, but it doesn't work with my M2 SSD which is a 2018 samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 250GB.
The connector feels like it doesn't match. There is like a mismatch with the coding pin.
Disappointed product incompatible with current SSDs, in this case an SSD 990 PRO

For those who don't know, there are several standards for NVMEs, this box is standard (= key) B and B+M, but does not take "key M" formats.
Please note that it is not possible to fit an M2 SSD.
Indeed, the pin is positioned 1.5mm too far to the left, and this is enough for the M2 to block. Even if you force it.
Not too much though because I don't want to blow up a Samsung NVMe M2 970 EVOPlus 2TB!
I did a test with the i-tec MySafe USB-C M.2 NVMe, also available on LDLC, and there no problem.

Plastic case (hence the star), even though it has a lot of holes to let the air flow through and avoid performance loss in case of overheating.

I've found it difficult to find an M2 ssd adapter box on other sites.

Very useful accessory if you need to connect an M.2 SSD temporarily for testing purposes (avoids disassembly).
