I use this box to recycle a 128GB SSD as an external drive.
It serves its purpose well for my back-ups.
I wanted to change the hard disk of my laptop which was starting to saturate. I made a clone of my old hard drive on my new hard drive using this box. It worked perfectly. I use Linux Ubuntu.
So I can only recommend it.
I have had it for a few days and I can't get it to work, it has been tested with 4 m.2's of 3 different brands and it is not recognised by the pc's I have plugged it into, worse still it killed one of my m.2's, given the other two reviews I guess I have fallen on the ugly duckling of the litter
The product does the job, I had no problem with the screws.
However, the cable supplied was a USB - USB C when it should be a USB - micro USB, hence the missing star. In the end, this was not a problem because I had the right cable in stock and I got a USB - USB C cable that is rarer nowadays.
I was able to reuse the ssd from a PC whose motherboard had burnt out.
Easy to install. Easily recognized under Linux.
Transfer rate a bit slow, but not necessarily due to the case.
