I'm not sure what to say about the disc, but LDLC will have to stop offering Chronopost, I needed this disc urgently, so I took delivery in 1 working day, the deliveryman didn't come, I was notified as available in a relay point, but unavailable, obliged to come back the next day, well worth paying 13 euros for delivery.

Usually I'm always very satisfied with Seagate drives, not this time.
First of all they are SMR disks, it is not indicated anywhere except on a doc hidden at the end of the Seagate website... and by the fact that the disk supports the TRIM function.
Then in terms of reliability on 3 disks bought at 6 months intervals, 2 HS in less than 2 years with the same symptoms) :
At the beginning of the failure (after about 1 year ~ 1 1/2 years) when reading the disk you get random data (very handy for corrupting file systems and spending hours to understand the problem) before you definitely fail.
So yes the drives stay on 24/7 and there is about 400GB of data written per month, but in my 2 configurations with mirror RAID the HSGT drives I bought 3 years ago are still working fine ...
The Seagate brand is a reference for me! The Barracuda model is of high quality and performs well. However, I have a doubt about this product. I only give it a score of 8 because of this.
I'm not going to blame it completely, because my PC is not so young anymore.
The disk goes into a safe mode and does not start Windows 10. I have to turn my PC on and off several times at certain times.
I am used to Western Digital hard drives which I must say are less noisy than the seagate. However I was surprised by the speed of the transfer with my other drive. I am using it in addition to my SSD on my laptop.
I recommend it, it's not bad for the moment; as for its lifespan, that remains to be seen but I think it should last as long as my laptop.
Received but impossible to use because LDLC does not supply the cabling and laptop stand, and does not provide an address to get them! Not very serious.
I give this note, because following the installation in my computer, I had a doubt when I saw that this hard disk supported the TRIM, and after checking, it is clearly indicated on the site of Seagate, that this hard disk is a SMR hard disk and not CMR.

This Seagate BarraCuda Pro 1Tb (ST1000LM049) is intended to equip an ASUS Mini PC PN40-BB015MV.
As mentioned, when ordering an ASUS Mini PC PN40-BB015MV, you need a HD or/and SSD, and I chose this product which fits perfectly.
A first price disk; I bought 3 in total (2 last year, 1 this month), all have the same problem: indicate CRC errors in the Smart logs from the first hours of use... Nothing "fatal": out of my three drives, 2 still work (the 3rd one failed).
In short, use with regular backups. It's good value for money: if you can afford it, buy another brand.
Product received in bulk (no box or instructions, just a protective cardboard box) which is, I think, an advantage for the price, the environment, etc..
The drive itself: I've almost always been with Seagate, I'm cloning a 500GB on this one to improve the capacity of a laptop and give it a little speed boost (5400rpm --> 7200rpm).
The formatting went well, the product looks confident, just have to see it work for a few years to say more.

I bought 4 HDD 2.5 inch BARRACUDA PRO 1TB, 1 out of order as soon as delivered, no trace of apparent shocks and correct packaging.
I have been using Seagate and a competitor's hard drive for several years now, depending on the use and the criticality of the data stored.
I have to say that contrary to the competitor whose products I use, the rate of failures and anomalies on delivery has been increasing for the last three or four years with Seagate, including the pro range. I think that Seagate should reconsider the reliability of their products.
For the 3 functional disks at the beginning, we will see on these next two years.
First of all, if you don't know what "bulk" means, the product may surprise you, only packed in a small brown box (since "bulk" means "minimalist box, without documentation or accessories"). But there is no need for extra protection here.
As for the product itself, there is nothing to complain about: small (2.5 inches), fast, silent, and also light, I am fully satisfied.

As a loyal Seagate user, I decided to buy a 2 1/2" HDD. The formatting process took longer than usual: Windows 10 had trouble identifying the new HDD.
Apart from this small incident, the formatting went well. As for data transfer, nothing to say, fast and efficient. It doesn't heat up much in its case (Bluestork) even if it's on for hours.
Bought to replace the hard drive of an old laptop. Nothing to say. HDD fast and quiet. I tested the surface of the drive with the manufacturer's tool and other software -> verdict HDD delivered in perfect condition thanks to the care of the packaging.
All in all, very satisfied with my purchase.
What can I say about it after only 2 hours of use?
Well it's a hard drive, I put it in an external case to have a travel drive.
It is recognized directly by windows, it is formatted quickly, and thus very quickly usable.
The writing time is correct, I didn't really time it but I'm not complaining.
Bought to replace a defective hard drive at a very reasonable price.

I bought it to replace a failing 5400t/mn drive on my Lenovo laptop. The result is amazing, windows boot time and divided by 2, loading apps much faster.
It's not as thick as the original drive but that didn't cause any problems during installation.
Very happy with my purchase.
If you don't want to buy a 2.5" hard drive from 6 years ago, this Seagate model is a good alternative, it's recent, efficient from what I've seen so far and above all the 5 year guarantee from Seagate is a pleasure!
Besides that, the "bulk" packaging at LDLC is a pleasure because you can enjoy high quality equipment at reduced costs

Having a storage problem on my laptop (110gb hard drive), I decided to change it. After receiving the hard drive and installing Windows10, I was surprised to see that my laptop was not working properly (the new hard drive is supposed to be more efficient than the old one).
I decided to look on the internet, and to deactivate some function of Windows but nothing changes.
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to buy a new hard drive, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to buy a new hard drive.
So don't use it as a primary hard drive but as a secondary one.

Bought as a replacement for a faulty disk on a laptop, the difference is spectacular. The speed at which it boots up, launches applications and transfers files is amazing. I think the capacity/price/speed ratio must be the best on the market.
I bought this hard drive a few months ago to replace my old one which was running at 5400 rpm and the difference is obvious. The laptop runs much faster. I bought it a short time ago so I can't speak to its reliability. I will change the review later if necessary.
Used mainly for storage, even though it is recommended to use it for a laptop system, I am not disappointed with my choice. I have extremely many documents to save, and the transfer speed can go up to 160MB. I am not disappointed with my purchase, and you can go with your eyes closed.
