Overview

More than an update, a revolution

The Noctua NH-D15 G2 LBC is a vastly improved version of the iconic Noctua NH-D15. With its two NF-A14x25r G2 PWM fans , eight heatpipes and asymmetrical dissipation system, it achieves a higher level of cooling performance than its illustrious predecessor, while remaining silent. The G2 LBC version pushes back the limits of air cooling and can compete with many AiOs. Noctua's NH-D15 G2 LBC offers greater compatibility thanks to an offset design that frees up the top PCIe x16 slot on most current motherboards.

The LBC (Low Base Convexity) version is specifically optimised for flatter CPUs. It offers exceptional contact quality with AMD AM5, even without the optional remote mounting, but also with equivalent flat CPUs (AM4, sanded or modified CPU heatsinks).

  • A new-generation level of performance : The G2 LBC version remains faithful to the reputation of its predecessor, while further improving acoustic and cooling performance. The NH-D15 G2 LBC excels particularly in tough, high-load conditions. It manages to lower the temperature by several extra degrees, offering a thermal range capable of withstanding higher overclockings for higher speeds in Turbo mode.
  • Asymmetrical finned block: The NH-D15 G2 LBC has been optimised to take full advantage of the new NF-A14x25r G2 PWM fans. As the P/Q performance of the fans is superior, the spacing between the heatsink fins has been reduced (by 0.3 mm), making it possible to add 23 fins for a 20% increase in heatsink surface area.
  • More performance in a smaller package: Thanks to a higher fin density, the asymmetrical shape of the heatsink and the reduced fin spacing, the G2 LBC version manages to combine higher performance with a smaller size than the original NH-D15.
  • 8 heat pipes for better performance: The NH-D15 G2 LBC has eight heat pipes, two more than the NH-D15. The additional heat dissipation capacity of these heat pipes is particularly appreciable in the face of extreme thermal loads (250W and above).
  • High RAM compatibility: Thanks to its heat sink with raised bottom fins, the NH-D15 G2 LBC offers at least 59 mm of clearance for RAM modules in single fan mode, making this ventirad compatible with most high-end memory modules on the market. In dual fan mode, the NH-D15 G2 LBC should preferably be used with RAM modules of standard height(up to 32 mm).
  • Two NF-A14x25r G2 fans: Noctua's new-generation NF-A14x25r G2 fans are setting new standards in the world of 140 mm round fans, with their advantageous performance/noise ratio.
  • Excellent cooling of motherboard components : The large 140 mm PWM fans make a major contribution to the efficient cooling provided by the NH-D15 G2 LBC beyond the CPU. Their action on the lower part of the finned block generates a massive flow of air towards the heatsinks and other components.
