Very satisfied!
Fast delivery and very well protected package. The ventirad is easy to install.
It is very efficient and quiet on a ryzen 3700x.
I am very happy with it.
Increased PCIe compatibilityGiven that most motherboards have PCIe x16 slots close to the socket, bulky fin stacks remain an obstacle. Thanks to its asymmetry, the NH-D15S fin stack is offset towards the top of the motherboard in a traditional installation. On most µATX and ATX motherboards, this frees up space for the PCIe x16 slots at the end.
Meeting Noctua's AAO standard, the NF-A15 has a design that benefits from the latest advances in aerodynamics, such as Flow Acceleration Channels. As a result, it has quickly established a solid reputation as one of the best 140mm fans on the market. |
Double ventilationUsing the fan clips supplied, the NH-D15S can be fitted with either a second 140mm round-frame fan with mounting holes to 120mm fan (e.g. NF-A15) for maximum performance, or a traditional 120mm fan (e.g. NF-F12) for increased performance and compatibility with memory modules up to 45mm high.
The NH-D15S radiator provides 65mm of space for high memory module heatsinks, making it compatible with most of the best modules on the market. By removing the bottom fins on both sides of the heatsink, compatibility is excellent with LGA115x and AMD, as well as LGA2011, which have memory slots on both sides of the socket. |

Fast delivery and very well protected package. The ventirad is easy to install.
It is very efficient and quiet on a ryzen 3700x.
I am very happy with it.
With this fan, my processor does not exceed 60degrees while overclocked from 3.5GHz to 4.5GHz and used for hours with greedy games. Water cooling is useless with this type of hardware, expensive but worth the price paid. Bravo Noctua!
This ventirad is monstrous, imposing, and powerful.
It has performance equivalent to a 240mm AIO and beats some other 360mm AIOs by far.
It's quiet, it's heavy and frankly, it can be your ventirad for life. Only its fan needs changing in 15 years.
Make sure you check the allowable ventirad height in your case, 160mm anyway.
Very impressive fan: admittedly, its imposing volume does not allow it to be used in any case (allow for width!), but the results are there; it ensures the efficient and silent cooling of an i7-8700K with a high processor usage.
I am using my new i7 5930k configuration with 1 additional NF-A15PWM fan, with the fans set to the minimum.in absolute silence.easy to assemble with all the accessories supplied for the 2 fan assembly.top delivery as always.thank you LDLC
The assembly is easy, the tool is given with it, it cools my 6900K very well ( 30°C IDLE and 45°C max ) and it is very quiet ! It's the version that doesn't eat the space of the first PCI-E slot and that makes high RAMs compatible, perfect for my G-Skill Trident Z DDR4! It's perfect for my G-Skill Trident Z DDR4. I highly recommend it.
...As already mentioned, beware of the dimensions of the tower that will house it, this radiator is "huge".
...I added a second Noctua NF-A15 PWM fan ( http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00140432.html ); running both fans in "silent" mode.
This gives an expensive configuration but an impressive result; at rest at normal frequency the processor (i7 6850K) remains at 28/29° (even when internal points of the case are at 35° and 45°); at constant full load at normal frequency the 40° are not exceeded; in "simple" OC at 4,2 GHz at rest 36° (I have not yet checked full load in "simple" OC)... And all this without the 2 installed fans ever exceeding 650 rpm: "total" silence (in "silent" configuration the fans are "clamped" at 900 rpm max; for the moment this speed is far from having been reached).
In short... Extremely powerful equipment, impressive capacities, robustness and silence, and very large volume in the tower.
This behemoth is damn efficient: thanks to it, having overclocked my ivy bridge (I 3570k), I stay at 25°C in idle and max 63°C in full load: it's the refrigerator of my tower! I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to use it, but I'm sure I'll be able to use it in the future. The S model ensures compatibility with most (if not all) RAM modules. The PWM ensures a contained silence (you can even adjust the speed of the fans by tinkering). The ULNA cables also help to keep the speed down. In short, Noctua: still very high quality... which unfortunately has a price!
Running silently for a year and a half on an Intel i7 5930K proc and an Asus X99 Deluxe 3.1 card, it allowed me to mount Corsair Dominator Platinium high bars, without any mounting problems.
Easy to mount, there is room for the ram corsair vengeance pro series, very powerful 45°max in games 32°at rest with 25° in the rooms mount on i7 4790K, silent put attention it and very big port PciE1 not available for my part on motherboard asus Z97 pro gamer. It is very high ossie and look if it fits in your case. I've been using it for a while now, but it's not a good idea to use it for a long time.
