Quiet and efficient
After having hesitated for a long time to take a BeQuiet model, I finally opted for this Arctic Freezer "monster" with two push-pull fans. When I unpacked it, I was immediately impressed by the size of the thing, which won't fit in every case! The fan is delivered with a LGA1700 / AM4 mounting kit and will therefore fit both Intel and AMD CPUs. A small tube of thermal paste (for 1 CPU) is also included. For the assembly, Arctic suggests you to connect to its website where all the steps of the operation are described. I didn't encounter any difficulties except when I had to reattach the fans to the heatsink with those damn metal rods. A nightmare! A piece of advice: mount the fan before installing the motherboard in the case! In use, I am amazed at how quiet it is. The speed of the fans can be adjusted and they are almost inaudible at low load. On a Core i7 12700 (2,1 GHz / 4,9 GHz), I am at 31° in idle and 70° at full load. This efficiency will allow it to be used on even more powerful CPUs (Core i9).
