Create stunning virtual sets and take advantage of the SuperSource processor
ATEM Mini Extreme models include 4 upstream chroma inserts to build virtual sets! With 4 chroma inserts, you have one insert per camera, allowing you to create a virtual set with up to 4 cameras. With the ATEM Mini Extreme, you have 8 inputs: 4 for the cameras and 4 that can be connected to the computer generating a virtual set for the backgrounds. You don't need to move your cameras. You can set up macros to switch cameras, then load the correct background into the media players, or even use a DeckLink Quad HDMI and virtual set software!
In addition to the 2 independent DVEs in the ATEM Mini Extreme models, you also have a powerful multi-layer SuperSource processor with 4 DVE layers and a background layer that appear as an additional input source. Any video input from the ATEM Mini Extreme can be used for each SuperSource DVE. This is then overlaid on top of a custom background from the media library. The SuperSource feature is ideal for achieving multiple picture-in-picture effects.
Control sources and status on the multiview
When working on live programmes with multiple cameras, it is useful to be able to view all video sources at the same time. ATEM Mini Extreme offers a professional multi view option that allows you to view all four video inputs, as well as preview and schedule images on a single HDMI display. Simply press M/V on the front panel to select multi view.
Each window includes a tally light to indicate which source is on, as well as custom labels and meters. You can also access the media player to see which graphic is selected. In addition, these windows display the status of the Fairlight recording, streaming, and audio mixer.

The free ATEM Software Control software for Mac and Windows gives you full control over the functionality of the ATEM Mini Extreme mixer. Its intuitive interface displays mixer settings in paddles for quick adjustments. Although it typically connects via USB, it can also be connected via Ethernet to connect multiple users to the ATEM Mini from different computers.
