The Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter 4x12G PWR adds SMPTE-2110 IP video to 12G-SDI broadcast equipment. It offers 4 independent bidirectional 12G-SDI to SMPTE-2110 IP video converters using 10G RJ-45 Ethernet connections, which can be used for power. Its rack unit design includes a control panel with LCD screen and supports HD and Ultra HD standards up to 2160p60.

This Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter has been designed to integrate SDI equipment into 2110 IP systems. This rackmount model can be installed next to the equipment you are converting. This Blackmagic SMPTE-2110 IP equipment can be powered remotely. With this converter, you can transform all your video equipment into a SMPTE-2110 at low cost. Simply add this Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter to live production mixers, disk recorders, streaming processors, cameras, TVs and more.
This Blackmagic 2110 IP equipment complies with the SMPTE ST-2110 standard for IP video, which specifies the transport, synchronisation and description of 10-bit video, audio and ancillary data over IP networks managed for broadcast. It can also synchronise SDI inputs to a common PTP clock.
The Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter's connections support SD, HD and Ultra HD video standards, so your existing SDI broadcast equipment can be connected to a new IP-based infrastructure.
Flexible connectivity and power supply
This Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter is available with RJ-45 connectors for simple Cat6 copper cables or with SFP ports for fibre optic modules and cables. Cat6 copper cables make it possible to build SMPTE-2110 systems at lower cost. They are simple and 10G Ethernet switches are very common. Modern buildings are often already equipped with such a cable. So you can use whatever cables you have. What's more, copper cables can remotely power devices such as converters and cameras. There are also models for Ethernet connection via fibre optics. 10G optical fibre is much cheaper than 25G or 40G Ethernet. You can even use 3G, 6G or 12G-SDI modules!
This Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter rack-mount model includes an AC power supply. Simply plug it into a wall socket. The universal power supply automatically switches between 100-240V AC voltages. So you can use it anywhere in the world. It supports both AC and PoE+ power connections, so you can power the converters from the Ethernet connection. This is very handy when power is scarce near the converters.
