TheATEM Camera Control Panel from Blackmagic Design is a compact camera control panel designed to control up to four URSA Broadcast, URSA Mini, Blackmagic Studio or Blackmagic Micro Studio Cameras. The control panel incorporates traditional broadcast controls to allow a single operator to check and adjust numerous parameters, including black level, gain, colour balance and shutter speed. This allows the operator to concentrate on the creative aspects of live production, including framing and composition. Unlike standard control channels that must be placed on a desk, the ATEM Camera Control Panel has been designed to be installed on a desk or in a sliding equipment rack. The intuitive layout of the controls means that both experienced and novice operators will find it easy to use. It is fully compatible with all models in Blackmagic Design's ATEM range.
One operator for 4 cameras
When you're working on a multi-camera production, it's important to calibrate and set up all the cameras correctly so that you can exploit all the angles of view quickly. That's why the ATEM Camera Control Panel has been designed with four control channels on a single panel. To make your work easier, the upper part of each control channel has a large LCD screen with buttons and knobs, and the lower part has a complete set of professional controls.
The controls are yours
The top section allows you to save and recall presets for quick adjustment of cameras to changes in the scene, such as a change in brightness. This part of the camera also has controls for adjusting overall gain, white balance and shutter speed.
The central section has independent RGB controls for adjusting gain and black level. This allows the red, green and blue levels in the whites and blacks to be adjusted individually to compensate for unwanted colours.
The lower part of the panel displays the camera numbers and gives an indication of the image status (on-air or preview). There is also a joystick for adjusting the iris and overall black level. There is also a button for using the command network, a panel lock button and indicators for the camera's network, power and cable connection.
Perfectly compatible with ATEM mixers
Fully compatible with all models in Blackmagic Design's ATEM range, the ATEM Camera Control Panel connects directly to your ATEM live production switcher or ATEM hardware control panel via Ethernet. In many installations, multiple ATEM devices such as the ATEM 4 M/E Broadcast Studio 4K, ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel and ATEM Camera Control Panel can be used. The Ethernet connection can then simply be looped from one ATEM device to another.
For quick and easy control
TheATEM Camera Control Panel is easy to use. In fact, its traditional controls will be familiar to all broadcast professionals. You can use the joystick below the LCD screen to set the camera number. This turns red when the camera is on air. Moving the joystick vertically adjusts the iris and rotating it changes the overall black level. Finally, to view the image of the camera you are controlling via the mixer's auxiliary output, simply press the joystick. To quickly switch from one camera to another and balance their colours, select the corresponding joystick. TheATEM Camera Control Panel is easy to install, so you can instantly control the cameras connected to your mixer!
