It turns out well
I'm not sure what to say about the LDLC ordering process and delivery, which went well, as usual. I'm not sure what to say about the Asustor NAS, but I did have a few surprises: - the round power socket, which can be disconnected just by pulling the cable (not great when you move the box once it's turned on); - the box's sound box effect. With only 2 Ironwolf hard disks it was hellish (these disks make a lot of noise and resonated). The wake up time of the drive is far from the 1.5 seconds announced when switched to co EU mode, but is still acceptable during the day for office use from a Mac or PC.The ADM administration interface is easy to use. The ADM administration interface is simple to use and offers all the essentials you would expect from a NAS. You can also add external software and turn it into a Linux server if you want. I'll talk about data security the day it spits out... but for the moment I've been able to transfer everything I've put on it and it seems to be working. (always remember to make a backup of what you put on your NAS the first time and keep it, then make regular backups of the NAS against theft and fire/flood risks)
