    Good NAS but sorely lacking in RAM

    I've had this NAS for 1 year now, and it's still working perfectly. I've got an inverter with it so that I can turn it off properly in the event of a power cut. Well ventilated, easy to set up.

    The only downside is that I wasn't hoping to use the applications in the multimedia centre or the docker applications, 1 GB of ram is far too little. To make up for this I installed a Raspberry pi 5 which manages all the multimedia ( Plex, Nextcloud, VPN, ... etc )

    Excellent SIN, but don't ask for more

    Very good product for making mass storage available on the network. The performance is good, I have nothing to complain about. The administration interface is intuitive, you just have to know what you are doing.

    However, don't expect to run anything else. Forget about their integrated software centre, with 1GB of RAM, you can't really run containerized applications with Docker. For that, you'd need a model with more memory and CPU cores. Finally, none of this will stop you from coupling it with a recycled server computer or Raspberry Pi(s) (alone or in a cluster).

    My recommendation is this NAS, 4 HDDs dedicated to NAS, a UPS with USB connectivity to secure the NAS in case of power loss. With that, I add a Pine64 ROCK64 2GB cluster to run containerized applications.
