The ZyXEL GS1008HP non-administrable Gigabit Switch has 8 PoE+-enabled 10/100/1000 Mbit/s ports for a total power consumption of 60 Watts. The GS1008HP is fanless, silent and compact, making it ideal for use in a professional environment, either on a desk or wall-mounted.
Its compatibility with the IEEE-802.3at standard means it can power devices on the network up to a maximum of 30 Watts per port. This feature makes it possible to extend existing networks and power high-consumption devices such as WiFi access points, IP cameras and IP telephones. With a PoE budget of up to 60 Watts, the GS1008HP 8-port switch is ideal for SMEs and home users.
Simplified implementation
With the GS100XHP range, Zyxel offers two unmanaged switches, the GS1005HP and GS1008HP. The switch is operational as soon as it is switched on, so there's no need to go through long and tedious configuration steps. The fanless design of this switch makes it perfectly silent, so it can be placed on a desk or mounted on a wall, and its compact metal design opens up a whole host of possibilities. It's ideal for small businesses and home users alike.
Optimised PoE management
The GS1005HP offers 4 Gigabit PoE+ ports, while the GS1008HP has 8. With up to 30 W available per port and a total budget of 60 W, the Zyxel GS100XHP switches also feature an LED indicator that turns amber as soon as the 50 W threshold is reached. Compatibility with the IEEE 802.3az standard enables the switch to adjust power consumption in relation to traffic to generate energy savings. For example, if power consumption exceeds the total PoE budget, the last device connected will be automatically disconnected, with no impact on the other equipment powered by the switch.
