Overview

An environmentally friendly and cost-effective switch

The GO-SW-5E(Green Ethernet version) is an Ethernet switch that offers Fast Ethernet connectivity with reduced power consumption compared to other switches currently available on the market. Users benefit from energy savings, reduced heat dissipation and a longer product life.

  • Power saving feature for up to 27% lower power consumption
  • 5 x 10/100mbps Ethernet ports
  • Plug-and-play installation

When a device connected to the GO-SW-5E is powered down, the switch puts the corresponding port into standby mode to reduce power consumption. The switch is also able to detect the length of the Ethernet cable, according to which it adapts the power supply, thus saving additional costs (otherwise the excess power supply would dissipate as heat).

5 copper Ethernet ports
Using your well-known low-cost Category 5 or higher copper twisted pair cables for transmission, these ports allow you to instantly migrate your servers to an Ethernet link without having to install expensive new fibre optic cables.
The Ethernet ports provide dedicated bandwidth for your servers running at 200 Mbps in simultaneous bi-directional mode. This translates into unclogged server data paths.

IEEE 802.3x flow control
This function adjusts the data flow between the switch and the server and ensures reliable data transfer. In simultaneous bidirectional mode at 200 Mbps, the switch provides your servers with high-speed data channels that limit data loss during transfer.

MDI/MDIX crossover cable auto-negotiation
All ports support automatic MDI/MDIX crossover detection. This eliminates the need for crossover cables and uplink ports. You can connect any port to a server, hub or switch simply by using a standard straight-through twisted pair cable.

Plug-and-play installation
The switch integrates seamlessly with your existing network hardware (Ethernet, Fast Ethernet), allowing you to keep all of your existing hardware or software. Simply plug the cables into the switch and your network is fully operational in minutes.

    Good switch for the price

Purchased in 2016, it has just given up the ghost in 2024. For a price of around 10€, it's an honourable deal.
I was quite happy with it, but you have to realise that it doesn't go faster than 100Mbps, so that means transfers of around 10Mb/s.

    Super Switch Small and Discreet

Superb little product from D-link, bought because my internet box didn't have enough rj45 ports.
    Its advantages:
    - It has 5 ports, each rated at 100Mb/s.
    - Small and very discreet
    - Lightweight
    - Low electricity consumption
    - Price
    Disadvantages :
    - Ports not powerful enough 1000Mb/s would be better
    - And no, it doesn't have any others ;)

    Small but strong

Doesn't take up much space but does the job ...between the freebox, the two TV boxes, the PC and the Nas ...A little light but a little piece of double-sided tape to stick it on and it's forgotten ...

    very good

Used to connect a smart TV and a PS to the wired network. Discreet and light, it does its job perfectly while being forgotten in the TV cabinet.
