Used in an array of 4 in a Truenas NAS in ZFS. No problems to report, fast reading and writing, and no problems with a parity reset.
Installed on my Nas. Works fine. 3.6GB available after installation but that's normal (you always get screwed the first time).
Replacement drive for the one that failed in the Synology DS211+
It works perfectly in its new home with an old Seagate ST4000 of 6 years old.
Seagate remains a reference!
I thought they were the same drives as the Barracudas but the read and write speed is only 134 Mb/s... (compared to 220 on the Barracudas). I'm disgusted but it's my fault I should have checked the manufacturer's website).
I have tried to boot the hard drive on Linux which returns a "serious hardware error". I tried to launch the hard disk on Linux which returns me that sectors are defective. Not surprising when you see the quality of the packaging with which the hard drive was sent to me (no bubble wrap, just cardboard), so it must have been damaged during transport. I was very disappointed with LDLC, which has always been a company known for its professionalism. Hard drive sent back.
Made for H24, they do the job perfectly for Nas in Raid 0. Barely audible on standby, and the 7200trs make the difference in being harmful in rotation (No unbearable whistling)
For the delivery, very fast!
For the hard drives, I use them to copy movies and video clips!
No problem for the file transfer!
We'll have to see in the long run if the hard drives are reliable; solid in time.................
High performance but very noisy HDD, prefer the 5900rpm version if the 7200 speed is not essential
