I need a Tascam to record all my rock band's rehearsals and get the most out of our work!
Being a videographer, I found myself in need of a recorder, in order to ensure a minimum of sound quality on my various performances. So, like many people, I decided to look at the Zoom H4N, which I don't like very much. In my opinion, the H4N is to the technician what the printer is to humans; a constant misunderstanding. Buying a product that you are sceptical about is not the best feeling. So I tried to find an alternative to the H4N, which has been around for a number of years.
Here we are, I came across the direct competitor: the Tascam DR-40X. I knew Tascam mainly for its mixers. After looking at a few reviews and researching my needs in terms of technical specifications, I felt I had found my match. The interface is clear, the buttons are intuitive: this was not necessarily the case with the Zoom H4N. Although it does a good job, this was what I felt was missing.
I chose home delivery. It's a shame to miss out on a shop visit by installing a 1€ difference between home delivery (~5€) and shop delivery (~4€). I am still very satisfied with the price set by LDLC, very attractive. Without Le Dénicheur, I wouldn't have thought LDLC was a particular competitor on sound equipment.
I'm very pleased with the delivery. I'm very pleased with the service and the quality of the product, and I'm very happy with the service.
I'm not sure how much I'm going to pay for this product, but I'm sure I'll be able to afford it. The detail that might seem disturbing at first for the consumer is the lightness of the DR-40X. It looks very flimsy and fearful of the slightest shock. This somehow justifies the entry-level price. Batteries are included, as is the user manual.
I can't write more, I recommend the product and buying it from LDLC makes it even more valuable!
