Zoom R4 MultiTrak: the recorder designed by musicians
At Zoom, all the engineers are musicians. Passionate and creative, they thought up and designed the R4 MultiTrak to enable other musicians to develop their own great ideas. With a single track dedicated to bounce (mixing multiple tracks down to one) and 32-bit floating-point recording, the R4 is perfect for capturing any composition, no matter how ambitious.
Record. Bounce. Repeat.
With the R4, you can record up to four tracks, mix them, then bounce them to the track dedicated to that reduction. This frees up extra tracks for you to continue adding new layers. If necessary, you can also 'undo' your last bounce to further mix your tracks or record new ones.
With32-bit floating-point recording, there's no need to worry about clipping your audio signal. The R4 captures perfect sound on every take, with no need to adjust the gain.
The R4 has 2 mixed XLR/ TS jack inputs with proven Zoom preamps. You can connect microphones, instruments, keyboards and more.
Each track has 3-band EQ, pan, echo and reverb to fine-tune your mix. Apply effects to input A, such as amp simulation, delay, distortion and more.

The R4 features a high-quality built-in microphone , perfect for acoustic guitars, vocals or quick reference recording.
The R4 has a preloaded rhythm section with 40 different drum patterns to play in genres such as rock, hip hop, funk, heavy metal and more.
The tracks you record are automatically saved individually, even after bouncing. These tracks, or any other audio file, can be loaded into an R4 project.
Powerful audio interface, for controlling and creating
The R4 is also a powerful 2-in/2-out USB audio interface with 32-bit floating-point technology. Connect it to your computer or smartphone.
With a fader for each track and dedicated buttons for the most frequently used functions, you won't need to dive into menus to record your music.
The R4 can be powered by 4 AA batteries, or via its USB-C port.
