With the convenience of this Tascam portable recorder, you can create professional quality recordings on the move, as easily as at home. Immediately after powering up, the Portacapture X6's large colour touchscreen displays the Launcher, allowing you to easily select the audio settings best suited to your application.
Quickly access the Portacapture X6's settings and adjustments with its large 2.4" colour touchscreen. With its easy-to-navigate interface and useful tools, it takes just a few gestures to enter the settings that are right for you. Use the Launcher to choose the type of recording: podcast, music, interview, field recording or 6-track simultaneous. Record quickly, at the right time, for the right result.
When shooting video, you want to be able to concentrate on the production itself, without worrying about the sound. The Portacapture X6 was designed with video shooting in mind. The workflow, presets and user settings save a lot of manipulation. The X6 also avoids many problems thanks to its 96 kHz/32-bit floating point recording format. This format gives you the best possible audio quality, and has such a wide dynamic range that it eliminates the problems with recording level settings that often occur on location.
The Portacapture X6 is ready to record in a few simple steps. Its built-in pair of high-quality microphones allows you to switch between AB and coincident XY formats by simply rotating the capsules, depending on whether you want to record dialogue or music with natural spatialization. Do you have your own microphones? Use them, thanks to the two built-in XLR inputs, which also accept line-level sources. You can record up to 6 tracks simultaneously (4 separate tracks plus a stereo mix) and even use the X6 as a 6-in/2-out USB audio interface to your computer.
With the Portacapture X6, your audio is ready to share. Built-in signal processing: compressor, limiter, high-pass filter, EQ and reverb, for a studio finish. Whether it's attenuating wind noise in an outdoor recording or adding ambience or reverb to your vocals, the X6 has what it takes. Need to catch sharp peaks on a sound effect? Eliminate plosives on dialogue? You can count on the Portacapture X6.
