The Tascam FR-AV2 is a compact audio recorder designed for demanding creative people who make bold, impactful videos. To fully meet expectations, it offers a host of features including 32-bit floating point recording, timecode generation and synchronisation. Not only does it deliver much better sound quality, it has been designed to greatly simplify the entire process from recording to editing. It synchronises with all the usual video devices without the need for an external device to manage the timecode. And it offers the possibility of using an optional Bluetooth adapter (Tascam AK-BT2) for wireless monitoring.
saturation-free recording
Thanks to the FR-AV2's advanced recording format, which works at 32-bit floating point digital resolution and a sampling rateof up to 1.5 kHz, the FR-AV2 is able to record without saturation. sampling rate of up to 192 kHz, you'll never give up on a recording because the audio level is too low. Technology based on two A/D converters means you can record with greater dynamic range and clarity.
Connect microphones directly to the FR-AV2's two Ultra HDDA preamps. With an equivalent noise level of just -127dBu at the input, your recordings will be crystal clear, with virtually no background noise. What's more, the3.5 mm mini-jack stereo input lets you use wireless receivers, tie microphones or any audio source you choose.
The FR-AV2 sends and receives timecode via its 3.5mm jack input/output for DSLR cameras, and is jam-sync compatible with all external timecode devices.
