Mobility and performance

Compact and lightweight, the iQ7 lets you create high-quality recordings wherever you go. This stereo mid/side condenser microphone is perfect for recording music and capturing great sound to accompany every video.

The iQ7 offers advanced features for extraordinary stereo recording. The oversized front panel mic gain knob makes it easy to set an optimal input level, while the three level LEDs ensure clear, well-defined sound without saturation. The iQ7's rotation mechanism ensures proper left-right stereo orientation.

Wide range of possibilities

Zoom'sHandy Recorder app , available for free on the App Store, gives you a wide range of tools for the iQ7 and your iOS device. Overlay sound tracks on top of stereo recordings created with your iQ7. Make precise corrections in its waveform display. Save your files in linear PCM or AAC format. Apply built-in effects such as compression, EQ and reverb to further enhance the sound.

The iQ7 works with all iOS devices equipped with a Lightning connector. It comes with an extended Lightning connector and removable spacer for compatibility with most iPhone, iPad and iPod cases.

Mid-Side Recording

The iQ7's two microphone elements include a directional centre mic (Mid) that captures signal directly from the front of your iOS device, and a bi-directional side mic (Side) that captures sound from both sides.

A three-position switch allows you to choose a 90° angle (to emphasise sounds from the centre) or 120° (for a wider image, incorporating ambient and room sounds). A third setting, called 'M-S', allows you to record 'raw' audio and adjust the stereo width later, using the iOS app Zoom Handy Recorder.
