0 dB mode for perfect silenceThe Alpine 12 can switch to passive silent mode when the PWM signal is below 5% due to its new motor. This allows you to work on your PC in complete silence without any unwanted noise.
It is equipped with an updated motor and works much more efficiently than its predecessors. Due to the sinusoidal magnetisation, the new motor creates only 5% of the vibrations resulting from the switching of an ordinary DC motor. These factors help to save energy, lower the coil temperature and minimise vibration without compromising performance. |
High quality ball bearingThanks to a new alloy/lubricant combination developed in Germany, friction in the bearing is reduced and its efficiency increased. This way, there is less heat generation, less noise and a longer life of your fan.

I recommend
I ordered this fan for a small project to cool an I3 7100, it does the job very well. It keeps the cpu around 40°c during office tasks.
I highly recommend it for small older generation I3 processors or even pentiums and celerons.
This is a very thin fan, which allows it to be put in a Mini ATX case. I like the very white side of the propeller blades, very quiet when running. Perfect for me
on principle I never give the maximum mark
The fastening system is not the most practical but that's the way it is.
I mounted this fan in an In Win Chopin case (BQ 696), on an Intel Core i5-4670K.
Positive points :
- the PWM is very efficient, with a speed of 200 rpm at 12% (minimum accepted by my motherboard)
- the fan is inaudible at this speed, and up to 1000 rpm. The temperature of the processor in idle should be maintained around 45-50°C at 0 rpm (on motherboards that allow it).
- the height of the fan is only 42.2mm (and not 53.5 as indicated on the LDLC description), which allows it to fit in most cases
Negative points :
- maximum recommended heat dissipation capacity of 65W. My processor gives off 84W under load, and then reaches 90°C with the fan at 2200 rpm, its maximum
- I had to help the pico through the motherboard to install it, unlike the Intel ventirad: the pico must be slightly too big. By pushing with a screwdriver, it went in and no problem
In summary :
- unbeatable value for money
- I am very happy with this cooling unit, which will be perfect for the server use I plan on using on my old "recycled" Core i5.
- the progress on the bearings and the speed variation range should ensure a good life for a 24/24 use
- after an undervoltage of 0.1V on my i5, the full temperature is around 80°C at 3.8GHz, and the ventirad is doing its job properly. It is obviously audible at 2200rpm, but it is very punctual. With 2 cores under load, it remains relatively quiet at around 1400rpm.
