Plugged into my "old" (10 years old) Asrock H61M-DGS card which was too low on USB outputs.
However, I first powered it with a Molex->SATA adapter (4 wires), the keyboard and mouse worked but not the external SSDs. I then used a 5-wire SATA plug (+ orange 3.3V wires) and now my external SSDs work. It would be good to specify this in the description.
Good card, does the job.
Beware, even if it shows on the pictures and the doc -> you absolutely have to plug a SATA drive power connector on the back of the card.
Therefore, depending on how "full" your PC is -> this can result in a bit of acrobatic wiring.
Nothing to say about the product, does the job.
Of course the speed is slightly lower than the usb ports on the motherboard but it's still very good for an additional card.
It's a shame to pay this price to get 2 extra USB ports, but for low profile cases you can't find what you want on the market. I don't put all the stars because of the price. Otherwise, no problem with installation. Make sure that you have a SATA power supply available. Without a power supply, the card does not work. No driver needed with Windows 10.
