Very good, but
The product works well but only partially meets my needs in that I had chosen it in part to be able to automatically manage the switching on and off of the Wi-Fi. I still can't activate this function.

The product works well but only partially meets my needs in that I had chosen it in part to be able to automatically manage the switching on and off of the Wi-Fi. I still can't activate this function.
The router is easy to install and complements the box, which had too little range for the last room.
Used in a network without a DHCP router, it never connects... Obliged to force an IP on the client machine, except that it is not always feasible! It lacks a DHCP range setting. I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it for a long time, or not. In short, I strongly regret this purchase. Forced to buy another one :(
Bought a month ago to replace an old wifi access point, it works perfectly 24/7. There were a few brief outages at first with no explanation. I placed it in the centre of the flat, as 5GHz fades quickly through walls. The advantage is that this frequency band is less congested and, above all, the speeds are higher than with traditional wifi. When you have 1Gbit/s fibre, and you want to be able to enjoy it with tablets and laptops, this is necessary. The 5Ghz (ac) wifi of the box does not manage to cover the whole flat. It's a purchase I don't regret.
Some disappointments with this product:
(1) The range is relatively low, similar to the black LB in WIFI N/AC. There is little point in this unless you can place it in a strategic location.
(2) Data rates are also disappointing. Even in WIFI AC 867 Mbps (at 2m), I do not exceed 4-5MB/s against 30MB/s on the Syno RT1900ac (in the same conditions obviously).
(3) If you choose the delivery method "in shop delivery" you will not be able to exercise your right of withdrawal once you have seen the performance of this equipment. You should choose "delivery in shop" instead: it costs 2 or 3€, takes longer but covers you better. It is indicated when you order but you quickly forget about it, especially as Darty / Boulanger (among others) do not use this little trick.
Other remarkable points about the product: it's quite large (a bit larger than the Synology RT1900ac), it doesn't heat up much or at all, the interface is austere but does the job, there's no firewall/filtering function (a shame), and there's no real-time view of the bandwidth used by each client (it's only global, with no historical data and therefore of no interest)
The ethernet part is functional and does the job, except that 4 ports can be a little bit too much for your uses knowing that 1 port is necessarily used for the uplink so you only have 3.
The LCLC price is correct but the quality/performance/price ratio of the hardware is not so good in my opinion. In short, it's still not the ideal solution I thought I had found.
The final score is as much for the product (functional without more so 3*) as for LDLC and its practices on the provision vs delivery in shop (we remove 2*: one for the tip, one for the polite but not very commercial answer).
Result: 3* product / 1* product available in shop.
Quick and easy to install, clear and very complete configuration page, everything can be modified easily, range a little limited compared to Meraki, but we are talking about a general public equipment, satisfied with the purchase.
I bought it for my son so he could have wifi in his room.
Very easy to install, I changed the password without any problem.
Very good value for money.
I don't regret my purchase as my son doesn't complain anymore since he has his own wifi.
I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and the price.
This will be a hot reaction, as I received my equipment two hours ago. I bought this wifi access point in order to be able to disconnect the wifi easily. It is connected to one of the ports of the internet box. An important detail is that it is possible to define time slots during which the wifi is switched off.
It took me half an hour to configure it.
The first thing is to download the latest firmware and update it via the web interface of the wifi access point accessible with an IP address indicated in the installation documentation, in French.
In the web interface, it is possible to opt for the French language, but this only works after updating the firmware. I had to switch back to English and then back to French to get it to work.
The interface is very well done and does not require reading the manual. The only thing you need to know is that you have to press and hold for two seconds to activate or deactivate the wifi. Of course, there is also an on/off button to turn the hotspot on or off.
The only negative detail is that the downloadable manual is only in English, but apart from the fact that you have to press the wifi button for two seconds (not easy to guess), I didn't need it to configure the wifi security.
The installation and configuration of the hardware is easy. However, I was unable to configure it using the wifi access method. I had to connect it directly to a PC via ethernet after changing the IP of the PC (because of a factory setting of fixed IP which can be changed later via the web configuration interface).
Very good throughput in N and/or AC wifi which can be configured separately.
Web interface available in French after firmware update
Easy to set up.
Great performance.
Supports well the "old" N type Wifi and the new "AC" type.
Transfer rates are impressive!
No need for an Ethernet cable when copying large files.
