Nice but lacks a practical side
Nice product to use, but it would have been a bit more practical if there was a stopper to make sure you go straight when scanning the document. And a mark to show where the scan area is.
Scan books and magazines without damaging their pages!
With the IRIScan Book 3 mobile scanner, scan the pages of a book or magazine whenever you want, without a computer! Your documents will be automatically stored on a MicroSD card, ready to be transferred to your computer when you return.

Easy to use.
Scans are stored on the MicroSD card, just like a camera. To retrieve the scans, you can either read the SD card or connect the IRIS to the USB port, which is recognised as a USB stick. No problem to use it with Linux. However, for character recognition software, there is no Linux version.
The scanner works very well, very easy to use.
No problem to get the images under Linux Mint, plugged in USB it is recognized immediately, no need for a driver.
We'll see in the long run.
It's a pity that IRIS didn't provide a Linux version of its character recognition software Readiris, because it doesn't work there, even with Wine. At the same time, that's not what I'm most interested in.
