super
High quality, nice casing and looks pretty fast to me. Compared to what you can find for 20 euros less, it's like going from a Twingo to a luxury car (without exaggerating of course...)

A case that looks foolproof, with optimised heat dissipation. The price is a little high, but the ssd you put inside is in some cases cheaper than the case!
Well-built, all-metal case. Easy to assemble/dismantle the SSD with the precision screwdriver supplied. The case heats up fairly quickly like a radiator, indicating good heat dissipation (supplied with 2 strips of thermal paste to stick on your SSD). Optimum data transfer speed thanks to USB 3.2 type C.
Wanting to recover the contents of an NVMe disk after switching from Ubuntu to Proxmox (Debian) ... I found that my NVMe/USB-C box - not this article - was not recognised under Linux.
So I hesitated before buying this box ... but it worked the first time!
( the product info doesn't mention macOS and Windows compatibility )
Thanks LDLC !
The NVME external USB adaptor, available at the price of a 2.5" 480GB SSD, offers satisfactory functionality once installed. Its integrated USB-C/USB-A connector offers appreciable compatibility.
However, there are reservations about the installation process: it requires a strip of thermal paste to be applied to the NVME SSD to connect it to a small metal plate, designed to dissipate heat to the case. Installation of the SSD involves the use of micro-screws similar to those used on motherboards. What's more, a screw receptacle has to be attached to the underside of the SSD, requiring the use of two micro screwdrivers.
This complexity hampers the practicality of the device, suggesting that it makes more sense to dedicate the case to a single SSD rather than using it for frequent swapping. Also disappointing is the lack of simplified clip-on mounting features, such as those found on some motherboards.
Although the device can be used to create a 'high-capacity USB stick', cloning partitions, for example, requires more tinkering than might be desired, due to an awkward installation and, in particular, the limited number of thermal ribbons supplied (just two).
Excellent aluminium casing, optimum dissipation. Contrary to what is stated in the description, USB C cable supplied with standard USB adapter.
Quite an expensive product, but the price is justified.
Would recommend
I've been using this box for 2 years now. I've just bought a new one. I really like the way it looks and it's quite pleasant to hold. Good heat dissipation and very robust. I've already dropped the drive and there's nothing to say.
To insert the drive, you need to remove the two screws, insert the drive and screw in a small screw.
I would recommend this product. Good build quality, in use it's great and works well.
Supplied with a usb a/usb c cable and a usb c/usb c cable.
