Ordered via the internet with delivery in 2 days to the chosen shop.
Note the very good packaging of the hard disks: the disks were packed separately in an individual box, the individual boxes surrounded by bullpack and put in a single box.
Sure the disc has its heads parked during transport, but a simple individual thin cardboard package is a bit scary. Especially when the discs are placed directly on the outer carton (the embossed papers were both on top).
Used in a server, works very well. Nothing to say about the product.
I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure how long it will take to get it to the right place.

To be seen in time as it was used to replace an identical 3TB model that was barely 2 years old and already broken. The opinion will be modified according to a failure (or an inconclusive SMART test) to come during the year.

I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure how long it will work (that's why I'm investing in a NAS).

Bought 2 disks for my NAS. The 1st one lasted 7 months and the 2nd one 24 months...
I strongly advise against this product.
In a Synology NAS the disk doesn't scratch much (you don't hear much). I'm not sure if it's a good idea to put the NAS in a bedroom or not, but I'd prefer to use SSDs. I've put it in the office (separate room) but it's not at all disturbing in terms of noise during the day. I took two for a RAID 1. I preferred the seagate to the WD because there was an unfavourable comment on the WD (head parking).

Performance and capacity to match.
Replacing its equivalent at Western Digital. After two failures of WD in less than 3 years on a NAS, I decided to change brand. I have to see now if this model is really made for a NAS type use. The disks I bought are faster than the old ones, but the speed is also linked to a complete reinstallation of the NAS SYNOLOGY in which they are located. Not disappointed at the moment.
When I went to pick up my package at LDLC Bourg en Bresse, I was surprised to learn that if I wanted to return the hard drive (4 year warranty) I would have to do it by myself and that the LDLC shop would not take care of it.
The package and the drives were well packed and protected.
The Seagate drives mounted in my Synology NAS are not noisy.
I appreciated the 4 year warranty for a very reasonable price.
I use this drive for a NAS. It is fast, quiet and seems to be reliable (it has only been in use for 1 month). The price is also reasonable.
LDLC is as reliable as ever: fast delivery. The drives were very well packaged and protected. Why buy elsewhere?
2 hard drives ordered for 300€ + 10€ express delivery, barely packed in cardboard, no bubble wrap or other cushioning, 1 hard drive out of order after opening the package, the other probably close to death having suffered the same shocks, here we go for 1 week of ping pong with the support. Conclusion never buy a hard drive on LDLC again.

I've been using it for a while now, but it works very well with another brand of dd. This choice, after a clear and precise advice from a LDLC technician.
I ordered 2 disks for my NAS.
On arrival one of the disks was already out of order. Of course, LDLC's top-notch customer service did everything necessary to quickly change the defective disk.
2 years later, one drive is already dead... I'm not too keen on buying the same one again.

I bought 2 for my NAS. The first one starts to make a noise from time to time. The 2nd one is out of order. Bought in October 2018 and only worked for 7 months.

I bought 5 HDD's 8 months ago for my NAS, and 1 is already out of order. I hope that the warranty will do its job and that they will be able to send me back a decent HDD. The rebuild in raid 5 is going to be long...
I've been using it to put in my Qnap NAS and it makes almost no noise, contrary to what I've read from time to time in reviews. The NAS and therefore the hard drive is right next to my ears when I'm watching a movie or listening to music, I very rarely have any noise.
For the moment, there is nothing to complain about with this hard drive.
It's in a Sinology 4 bay NAS and it's installed and running without a hitch.
Having had problems with other brands of drives I tried Seagate.
We'll see how long it lasts.
I have two hard drives that have been running for a month in a NAS and I have nothing to complain about.
I was so used to SSDs that I had the scratching that hard drives do, but nothing really disturbing?
It remains to be seen how they will age and especially how long they will last!
I have installed two in a four-bay synology NAS, detected and installed without problems. I'll have to see how they hold up over time before I can take on two more (of higher capacity). Very quiet drives.
The 2 HDDs are very quiet in my DS218+ NAS. There is almost no noise when not reading/writing, and very little otherwise.

I ordered 4 to put in an Asustor nas: 3 in raid 5 with a spare.
No problems. Very quiet. The 3 in full operation (initial fill mode) make less noise than the one in min PC (which is supposed to be silent).
Do not overheat.
I made a mistake in the capacity when I ordered (4TB instead of 8TB), but that doesn't change the quality. Now we have to see if the MTBF is respected.

I do a lot of video editing and web programming.
My 2 Ironwolf 4Tb will become too small.
On Synology configured in raid1 it's really a piece of cake to extend the capacity especially with the Ironwolf.
So in the very near future I will order 2x 12Tb
perfect for an investment in a NAS. 4TB is a lot of space for photos and documents.
My choice is to use RAID1 with two 4TB disks. The RAID1 allows in case of failure of a disk to make the recovery, I do not want to lose my digital photos since 2000!
I have installed two of these drives in RAID on my new NAS ordered at the same time in July and it runs 24/24 without any problems.

I have ordered two hard disks for my nas, and as soon as I unpacked them, one of the disks didn't work, I tested it on my pc, verdict: hs-->return LDLC.
Out of all the hard disuqe I ordered from LDLC, the ones that failed the fastest were seagate....

I have installed two 4Tb disks in my Synology NAS for the last 2 months. For the moment nothing to say, everything works well.
I'm counting on the seriousness of Seagate so that the disks last over time!
Put in my Synology in addition to 2 3TB disks from another brand that had reached saturation, still with Syno's mixed Raid mode. Integration without any problem, I hope I'm ready for a while. As for the durability, which is precisely what we expect from this type of disk, it is far too early to know....
What to do when you need space? 4Tb at Seagate, and when you need it to run H24? Iron Wolf... it's not the best performance, but for what I want, it's largely good. So far, the speeds are great, no recognition problems (GPT and 3.63 TB free once formatted).
After not even 1 month of use, I have just lost nearly 3 Tera of data because of this disk... I'm disgusted, especially since I was only using it for storage. This is not my first 4 terabyte Seagate drive, it's the first time I've had a problem and I'm paying dearly for it... I've been using it for a while now, but it's still great.
I ordered two Seagate IronWolf 4TB to configure them in RAID1 on my computer. They do their job perfectly. I was a bit afraid of the slowness when I took them at 5900 RPM but it's not the case! They are fast and stable! In short I recommend! I would like to thank LDLC for the fast and careful shipping
Put in a NAS, works well for the moment. It's a good idea to see how long it lasts, but it's made to last. LDLC sent the product quickly and very well packed in tons of bubble wrap.

I bought this product to use as an external HDD for the moment. Nothing to say about it, it's doing its job for the moment. I'm planning to migrate it to my new configuration, we'll see what happens but I'm not too worried :)
This Seagate IronWolf 4Tb hard drive, does its job, having put it and its brothers in a Synology 5 bay NAS. No problem with the configuration...............................
No worries when installed in a Synology DS1515+. Noise level largely acceptable. I particularly liked the possibility offered by Syno to launch the Ironwolf integrity tests directly via DSM 6; this makes the integration of the hard disks total, with an easy integrity check.
As for reliability, we'll see over time...
No problems with this bulk drive (without cable) in a NAS as a replacement for existing drives.
It works well, with no noticeable noise. And all this at an affordable price for a branded drive.

I'm very pleased with this product, even though the first one delivered was out of order (several sectors faulty) and therefore not recognized in my Synology Nas. The LDLC.com after sales service changed it without any problem. New product received 2 weeks later. Thanks to them.
Impossible evaluation for this type of product except that it is recognized directly by my QNAP TS-253A NAS.
Performance is not measured but it is not my first criterion of purchase. As for the reliability, I'll see in 5 years. Mounted with a WD Red 4Tb.
I took these drives with the intention of putting them in a NAS. Test carried out on the two hard disks (seatool) without any error. (attention the test lasts approximately 7H). Works perfectly and is silent in the NAS.
Perfect packaging of the hard drives by LDLC. Good job! Keep it up!
