Perfect case for a living room PC with IGP
I was looking for a compact case to house an old igp motherboard/cpu assembly, and I'm delighted with my purchase.
I was looking for a compact case to house an old igp motherboard/cpu assembly, and I'm delighted with my purchase.
Compact but with room inside for a physical drive, HDD and graphics card.
Suitable for a small office configuration for use by senior citizens.
I am looking for a box to replace an old multimedia box, it needs angled sata to connect the two hard drives otherwise it won't fit, correct for my use. Thank you LDLC
I am very pleased with the service and the quality of the product. The SSD, HDD, graphics card and case opening are all assembled without a screwdriver, only the DVD burner needs a screwdriver. The rack where the SSD, HDD and burner are mounted tilts vertically for easy mounting by simply pressing a latch. A fan is present on the SDD/HDD.
The box is very well organised and compact enough to make it an HTCP that fits in a TV cabinet. However, the only small criticism is that when using a hard drive or a blueray player or both, you have to be careful to guide the SATA power connectors carefully so that they don't get damaged when you close the rack (or use thinner adapters). For the rest, the ventilation would have been a little better. For these two minor concerns I give a score of 9/10. But I'm still very happy to have been able to make my PC TV.
It's simple, I couldn't find another one for my use, namely:
Horizontal for micro ATX motherboard, in order to fit it in a TV cabinet
The bare necessities, front panel jack (mic+headset), 2USB and drive slot.
The price is very good.
The rest depends on your configuration ;)
Bought this to give my godson a new multimedia pc with a minimum of space. The gigabyte m450b dsh3 matx card fits perfectly and the original ventirad is a good height for this mini case. I have an athlon220ge with integrated graphics chipset, and I couldn't have asked for a better choice of case, especially since the be quiet 80plus 300w TFX power supply offers the right power for this cpu. The assembly is very simple but a manual would have been useful. Fortunately youtube is there to show how to connect the optical drive.
Honestly the quality is clean, everything fits well and there are bracelets in the case to guide the cables. There is a lack of space for cables behind the power supply and the 3.5" hard drives... you'll have to force it a bit, so please use the bent cables.
I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I'm sure it's a good idea to use a low profile gpu card like the gt1030 or gtx1650. It's a good idea to use a 6-pin + 2-pin dedicated power supply.
Some will modify the 90mm fan which I did for better comfort and cooling as well as the cpu.
I'm sure you'll find it a lot easier to use than the one you're used to, but I'm not sure how much you're going to pay for it, so I'm going to give you a little extra.
It's all in the title: it's a box that is compact but functional, the instructions provided are simple but relatively effective. The procedure for installing a CD player is confusing...
Warning: the original case fan is extremely noisy, if you want a quiet machine, plan to buy a 92mm fan separately!
the quality is there. The ingenuity of the layout and internal articulation is very appropriate. I'm only taking 1 point off for the non discretion of its 92mm fan (disconnectable) as this case is mainly designed to be placed in the living room.
Besides the motherboard and its Ssd M.2, I use this case for a 3.5" disk and a 5.25" DVD burner. Everything fits within a few millimetres. There is one 2.5" slot left.
I did however replace the Antec case fan with a 92mm beQuiet.
I also had to add a Sata power supply and an angled Sata data connector. There was one of each but it's not enough if you put a 3.5" drive and a 5.25" burner.
The drives and the case fan are on silent blocks.
I have made a desktop PC running Linux where the activity is limited to surfing the internet 99% of the time.
The box is silent and fits in my cupboard vertically.
I take away 1 star for the English manual and for its paper format
/The 5.25" bay is not Slim, it's for a classic optical drive! (don't be fooled)
------------------
I'm not sure if this is a good case or not, but it's a good case.
It even has a small intraction fan with thermal probe, blows maybe a little bit strong from the start.
A small adapter to switch it to 7v max will greatly improve the dB reduction of the blast.
Bought to mount a HTPC, I chose this case for its compactness and the possibility to mount a micro-ATX card and an optical drive. The overall quality of the product gives confidence. I had some doubts about whether everything would fit inside, but in the end, everything fits. I'm going to replace the fan that came with it with a new one, but I'm not going to do that.
I'm going to replace the fan that comes with the case with one that is less noisy and can be controlled by the motherboard.
This tower is well thought out to integrate the necessary in this rather tight format.
However, there are several points to be aware of:
The front fan does not connect to the motherboard. It takes a molex plug instead and is regulated via a temperature sensor. Be sure to leave it on the drive side, because it tends to accelerate well above 40°C and become relatively noisy;
Plan to have a bent SATA power cable for the 3.5" drive, the supplied adapter just fits although it is already shorter than a standard straight cable.
The 2.5" cage is removable, which is a plus if you want to try and ventilate the surrounding components as much as possible.
This is a good product at a good price. Combined with a "Noctua NH-L9x65 SE-AM4" fan and a "be quiet! TFX Power 2 300W" power supply, it is quiet and space saving, while allowing me to benefit from the 12 cores of a Ryzen 5 1600 (3.2 GHz).
I love this case, it's really nice, I had an old case of the same dimensions that I used to keep in the keyboard case of my office. I'm very happy that this case fits in there too. The case is very practical, the hard disk / SSD / CD drive part lifts up, which leaves you plenty of room to store your cables.
The case is simply superb and easy to assemble.
For my part, it is completely inaudible... unfortunately I could not judge with an original cooling because I opted for a "Cooler Master GeminII M4" to keep the CPU cool and an "Arctic F9 PWM rev.2" to ventilate the case and thus the whole. The power supply is a "be quiet! TFX Power 2 300W". As a result, we can only rely on the blue LED to know if it is active lol
The only small drawback is a very slight difficulty to replace the "cage to the HDD / SSD" because the connectors at the level of "3.5" pass to the millimeter...
Otherwise, I would like to underline the ease of integration of the hardware.
A perfect box for an office configuration.
All fits perfectly, just a small note, be careful to place the cables properly.
Discreet desktop that fits perfectly on a desk.
Quite complete and very well designed, this desktop for micro ATX is much better designed and equipped than the Silverstone HTPC/Desktop Milo series cases that look "DIY" next to it.
This one has a simple design with anti-vibration disk cages and grommets to organise the cabling correctly, the assembly is done without screws + 2/3 accessories supplied which suggest that Antec still has an eye for detail and does not make fun of its customers, especially at this price.
The whole is light and sober.
This case is perfect for office and media use. Less bulky than a tower and much more discreet.
Can be placed flat or upright with stand supplied.
Very well designed. Accepts micro ATX as well as mini ITX cards.
CM asus B150M-C, Pentium 4400, DD 3,5 2To and SSD Samsung 850 evo 250Go alim Biquiet TFX power2 and Asus drive.
Very satisfied with this set. No problems at all.
With the current Intel processors no need for a Full HD graphics card.
Easy to install with SATA 1 end cable to be purchased separately for 3.5" HDD and burner drive.
