The be quiet! Pure Base 500DX is a mid-tower case with a silent design that allows you to assemble almost any configuration based on a mini-ITX, micro-ATX or ATX motherboard. The optimised interior space can accommodate up to 5 SSDs, a 190 mm high fan and a 369 mm graphics card. The tempered glass side panel offers an unrestricted view of the components inside your PC case, and the ARGB backlighting adds a touch of assertive gaming.
Be Quiet! has taken care to ensure quiet operation by installing three Pure Wings 2 140 mm fans , while emphasising its gaming look with its first ARGB case. It also offers numerous cable management options to hide unwanted cables and optimise airflow.
The Pure Base 500DX offers generous dimensions for the installation of high-end graphics cards and large cooling systems up to 190 mm high. Fans or radiators up to 360 mm can be easily installed at the front. The upper zone offers space for fans or radiators up to 240 mm.
Three pre-installed Pure Wings 2 fans with optimised blades ensure perfect airflow and constant cooling. Despite the case's compact design, the front and rear fans are 140 mm models, ensuring ultra-quiet operation. Three additional 140 mm fans can be fitted as an option.
The power supply cover perfectly covers the cables, the power supply unit and contains a double HDD rack. The double HDD cage with decoupled supports reduces vibrations and helps to maximise silence. It can also be repositioned to accommodate radiators up to 360 mm in front. Using the PSU bracket, the power supply can be easily installed from the rear.
ARGB LEDs offer a range of colours and styles to personalise the appearance of the enclosure both indoors and out. You can optionally synchronise the lighting with your motherboard or ARGB controller.

Very good, beautiful case, just the right size for the components inside.
Very nice visual aspect :)
I can only recommend it!
It's a beautiful tower that also provides good cooling.
Perfect for a modern, elegant workstation at an affordable price.
I chose this box for 3 reasons:
- Aesthetics: beautiful casing with a discreet touch of RGB
- The quality of manufacture that this German brand evokes in me
- Silence, for the same reason
In the end, after only 2 weeks of use (LDLC assembly):
Plus points :
- the case is beautiful
- good quality materials (it seems to me)
- well assembled, does not vibrate, no physical defects (at first glance)
Minus point:
- the fans supplied are non-adjustable (3x pure wings 2 140, 2 at the front and 1 at the rear).
-They run at high speed all the time (it cools down for sure, but it's too noisy, much too noisy!).
- In the repot (at 21/22° in the room), watercooling at 0tr/m and processor at 28°, graphics card at 300 rpm and GPU at 29°, the noise level was 45db at 1m.
- Connected to the hub, the speed of these 3 fans is >4200 rpm, all three combined. Between 51 and 52 db with the tel close to the case out of the airflow.
- No system for tilting/removing the side glass. Be careful, the glass may hit the floor when removed.
In retrospect, I would have preferred to pay a few euros more to avoid this inconvenience. I'm going to replace the 3 Be Quiet (pitifully) supplied. That's an extra cost, which I hope won't be compounded by assembly costs.
But I think I can count on the professionalism of the team at the Rouen shop ;-)
An oversized product for an ATX motherboard, I was able to install an E-ATX MSI MEG 790 ACE motherboard, as I only use M2 Pcie SSDs, so the huge space dedicated to HDD or SDD is completely free.
Personally, I preferred Be Quiet! when it wasn't making Christmas tree lighting, but on the other hand the thickness of the plates that make up the case were thicker and therefore much more rigid.
What's more, several of the rivets used to assemble the case are not properly fixed, which means that some of the plates move and vibrate.
I only have 6 Be Quiet! cases left, so I can see the evolution of "NON QUALITY" over the last few years.
It's a shame
easy installation, super quiet, combined with a be quiet pure rock 2 for my proc, it's really quiet.
